She’s not entirely wrong. Before mass immigration, rents were a lot lower, and bad urban areas had cheap rooms. Some drunks and addicts didn’t need as much money to get themselves off the street.

Karen Hao’s 2025 book Empire of AI had a unit conversion error about a proposed Google data center in Chile. The original text cited a government document listing the facility’s projected water use in liters per second instead of cubic meters per hour. This mismatch inflated the number by a factor of 1,000, making it appear as if the site would consume more than one thousand times the amount of water consumed by the entire population.

He’s not “subsidized” by the government. He *sells things* to the government. He does pay taxes, in huge amounts. Yes, surrounding yourself with smart people who do work is a key to success. It’s not cheating, it’s managing. Very few can do what Musk does.

A lot of the numbers about data center water consumption are way off. Somebody made a major math error that gets repeated, or they look at construction vs. operation.

The best way to predict Trump is to imagine what his optimum outcome is, and work backwards from that. He wants to make real change and be a hero in the process, and he has the means to make it happen.
