Hi Aravind, he's allowed by FIFA but Barcelona just won't listen. Time is running out. The games start on August 7 less than 2 weeks away and I want Messi to train with his national team right now.

Hi Milan99 Azzurri Girl, I agree Messi doesn't have much to do in this situation. I wonder why FIFA hasn't pressured Barca to let Messi go 2 days ago. I'll be watching the games. Less than a month Away!

Hi Milan99 Azzurri Girl, I know. I was undecided. I'm on Werder Bremen's side because the least Diego could have done was to express his disagreement and try harder to work out a deal so he can go.

I hope Messi can help Argentina in the Olympics and not arrive too exhausted or under match fitness.

Hi Anna Italia, 3 days since FIFA told Barcelona to let Messi go and I can't believe he's still with them too! I do want to see a Brazil-Argentina in the Olympics. My prediction is Brazil 2-3 Argentina.

The little time Adu was in Benfica he did excellent and still loved by fans. I don't think it's so good for Adu to go to AS Monaco. I hope he finds another competitive club. Why not in the Serie A?

Me too especially now that Benfica transferred him to AS Monaco.
Quique Sanchez Flores didn't want Freddy Adu as a forward in the Benfica roster. Flores wants to bring in players he knows too and make his mark. There were even rumors that Quique Sanchez Flores didn't want to keep Nuno Gomes for this season! They already brought in a big name as a midfielder, Pablo Aimar.

Now I think they want to bring in a big name as a forward, either Luis Garcia or Miccoli from Palermo. You can't compare those two to Freddy Adu, with all due respect to Adu. They're looking for a proven forward, 15 goal a season forward. In a sense, Adu had to much pressure if he stayed so I'm glad he left to another club to keep growing professionally.

Hi Anna Italia, I'm sick with a cold these days and watching the tennis Rogers Masters on TV. Federer out- shocker. My favorite player Djokovic lost in straight sets by Andy Murray. Today in Murray - Nadal, if the umpire let the trainer come in before the 1st set tiebreak, it might have been a different result. Do you follow ATP tennis?

Hi Apryl, I was about to tell you you can upload your profile photo and I just saw it! That was quick. I love Disqus! So many features. The one I like so far is that when you log on and then post a comment, you can edit your comment, like fix typos, add something...

That it's a form at the bottom of the post, one doesn't have to leave the post. I just add the javascript in the template or at the bottom of each post and voila. The "Reply" feature too.

Inter losing against Juve and AC Milan today in the TIM cup! I thought Inter would win it or Juve would.

Now with Inter signing Muntari, Lampard closer to Chelsea at least for this summer, winger Mancini brought in, we'll see if Inter still gets Ricardo Quaresma.

I like the new site too. I'll check out the online games. The Chelsea America site, with them not coming here anymore ;-( same news from the official site so might as well go to that one.

I hope next summer Chelsea plays a few pre-season friendlies here and not in Asia. I'd like to see them beat a Mexican club like America.

I believe Moratti when he says the transfer market is done, shut. I'm positive that if both clubs FC Porto and Inter agree on a reasonable offer, Inter will get Ricardo Quaresma.

About Sacchi- how can he say that. It made me mad. Cristiano Ronaldo was not decisive in the Euro 2008 matches, especially in the quarterfinal against Germany. So any player has an off-day, why can't Quaresma too? Quaresma was very decisive in the friendly against Italy in February, (Italy 3-1 Portugal) in fact scored the only goal for Portugal. Quaresma also scored for FC Porto at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League. Inconsistent, like any player, but definitely not a common player.

Probably, it's still pre-season and Barcelona is Barcelona. Although Barcelona back in 2006 in pre-season couldn't beat America, a Mexican club. I don't understand why 'Leo' Messi still played int his game. If he wanted to go he needed to join the national team period. On the one hand he says he wants to join them, on the other FIFA sais he has to go yet he's still there.

I couldn't believe Pazzini scored! Nice video. Love commentary in Italian. I wonder what Fiorentina's back 4 will be and if Manuel Da Costa is a substitute that rarely plays.

Yeah when I saw the Disqus form I thought cool, I don't have to type all that info .... email, number, in the comment form. It's quicker. Just log in once email and password and then you just type your comment on any post. I use it on my blog too. Hope you keep the Disqus form!!!!

Yes it's taking a while for Mourinho to see what formation he'll stay with. I have faith he'll have one sooner rather than later. I think Inter is a favorite because they're reigning champions. My order of favorites: Inter, Juve, AC Milan. AS Roma as is can't really challenge the 3 favorites this season.

I agree about the presidents. Galliani talks too much too like saying a few days ago that Kalac will be 1st choice goalkeeper before even Ancelotti said it! Can't wait for the 2008-2009 season to start ;-)

Yes, FIFA said so even before the friendly Barcelona- Fiorentina so why did he stay to play that game? He had green light to join the Argentina Olympic team. I'm also looking forward to seeing Benfica's Di Maria and Lavezzi in the ARgentina Olympic soccer games..

Kalou I'm afraid will have too much of a burden to get Ivroy Coast to win its games. I don't think he'll handle the pressure. Sort of like a few years back when Gila went to the Olympics and he was the star, he couldn't deliver for the Italy team.

I predict:
it will be Argentina and Serbia go through
Both will concede the least goals. Serbia's Stojokovic is a pretty good goalkeeper!

Me too. I'm waiting for the Premiership season to start to pay for Chelsea TV. I'd like to see the player interviews. I'll let you know how it is. I wish they had a youtube channel like MilanChannel! Much more reasonable. AC Milan is a much more popular team worldwide and their channel is free.
