Personally I love my Rab down jacket (have heard not so good reports about the new Chinese made ones though), Oakley goggles/sunglasses and macpac packs!

Re: On the other hand: "pink gear" done right

I love the Brigdale socks - I'm only a size 3 and it's only them and teko who make good socks in that size.

Totally Chav, but I'm a fan of TNF for good basics,

Moon are very inventive when it comes to trouser design - have shredded my last pair -

Arc'teryx gear is all old now and a throwback to when I had a real job, but is just so good!

I'm getting a ladies specific Macpac sac, it's great, it's the only one I've found that's short enough in the body and narrow enough across the shoulders.

http://www.bravissimo.com/p... is probably my new favourite when it comes to sports bras - they do a 28 inch back AND go up to my cupsize. Love it.

Re: Pink biners, pink cams and pink ropes, oh my!

My cousin who is a total surf bum in Oz swears by these guys http://www.hiveswimwear.com... we can get them in the UK, not sure about the US though.

Re: Pink biners, pink cams and pink ropes, oh my!

Did you know that up until the 1940s pink was the colour that boys wore and blue was for girls? Red has always been seen as representing man and therefore pink was use for boys. The change came after WW2 when Blue was used for uniforms and the ad campaign "Think Pink" was the marketing slogan to convince women to embrace their femininity. Dressing girls in pink reinforced this role by conditioning with a set of rules that started with little girls, made of "sugar and spice and everything nice."

Today, those gender specifications hold strong, with pink designated for girls, and blue for boys.

Re: Pink biners, pink cams and pink ropes, oh my!

Lol - my students have no idea about my Panda persona - the only blog that they see is the one that has lesson details and homeworks on it!

I'd forgotten about tiebacks - I avoid them too, they're not quite the most uncomfortable item of all time, but they're getting there.

Re: shelf bras, a lot of my friends who are at the other end of the spectrum won't wear them without a bra after one memerable moment where one of the girls was going over a lip, caught the front of her top and revealed all to the whole crag ... at least flashing a bra isn't that bad in comparison.

What would be nice is if somebody could produce some really good ladies gloves that fit little hands. To get something that is good I have to go for a mans XS and these are still too big even when worn with a liner.

I'll try and draw more of the girls attention to this and it'll probably end up being the focus of conversation at this months ladies night!

Re: Pink biners, pink cams and pink ropes, oh my!

Really good post - covered lots of the areas that I've spoken to people about in the past. One of my big gripes is that EVERYONE puts those shelf-bras in their strappy tops now. I wish they wouldn't - if a girl has an ample bust then there's no chance of wearing them as they work under the bra that you're wearing and flash it to the world.

Re: Can anyone explain to me...

I've trained him to remove all dirty clothes from the car now. The new problem is the fact that they don't make it any further than being dumped by the front door :o( One day he will discover the washing basket, or even better, the washing machine. I'm not holding my breathe though!
