1. As Terry McBride as always said - you can't legislate human behaviour.
2. The idea of a Warner Bros legal torrent with ads is a good one but given the history of the music biz in suing its own customers who dare go near it?

4. Until the labels, who basically are still in this for the land grab and control, and who create what I call "transactional friction" get out of the way, we won't know if new models can ever work..

Thought I'd share an opinion piece I wrote this week. Basically I'm recommending that bands do not put a price on their CDs and T-shirts at their shows, instead when fans say "how much" band says "how much would you like to pay?" Its working for bands who've tried it and they are leaving comments about it working.
