However, having had a 10 year career in business and health care publishing, I would like to challenge you to more clearly distinguish between reporting facts and giving editorial opinion. I want to know that when I read something here it is held to the highest journalistic standards. And I also like reading what others' opinions are on the events and legislative issues that transpire. It is my view that you are doing your readers a greater service by positioning your opinions as opinions, and reporting as reporting.

Thank you,

Pamela Mark Hall

Re: Britney Spears’s “Hold It Against Me” Pimps Tech Brands [VIDEO]

Her Sex and Sado Masochism Tantalize. I don't hear any real song or artistry here. Just PAVLOV'S DOG Type of conditioning. She might as well have been selling Pepsi - except now we've got bigger ticket items. And is this the best branding Sony can come up with? Brainwashing, that's all.

Re: Claiming Your Independence – 5 Years of Business Lessons

Yes, Chris - I agree.
I'm just finishing and recording a new song about this very thing - comparing it to dancing. Doesn't matter if you trip, stumble or fall - just start dancing or else it will all be over and you'll still be standing there analyzing the right steps. I'll send you a copy of it if you like. I am mixing blogging with my music and enjoying learning from you. You are an encouragement.

I'd love to give you a free mp3 download of a Beatle's cover we (my musical partner and I) just posted on my blog at http://pammarkhall.blogspot...

Also check us out at http://www.reverbnation.com...
and me at http://www.reverbnation.com...

Thanks for everything, Chris.

PamMarkHall aka Pamelita

P.S. I'm glad you also recognize the benefits gained from those stated "mistakes." Perhaps, then, they were not "mistakes," but rather ingredients for the compost pile that over time have become rich fertilizer for your current projects. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing what you have learned and are still learning.
Cheers,
Pam Mark Hall

Re: Denon Record Player MP3 Encoder

Looks like a nice option.

Re: Denon Record Player MP3 Encoder

A great looking option for those of us who still have boxes and boxes of cherished vinyl we'd love to convert.

Re: Think Geek’s Briefcase Turntable

Let your friends know you are available for dinner/vinyl parties. I, too, am managing personal and professional from the same FB address. It has been confusing as to how to be the most effective. I also link my fan page to my page at reverbnation.com/pammarkhall. There are multiple places that fans are required to provide their email address in order to be on the mailing list. Am hoping to consolidate all of this. Have you investigated the relationship with Facebook and Reverbnation?

Re: HOW TO: Set Up a Winning Facebook Fan Page

Chas,
I have the same challenge. I'm in a quandary as to how to most effectively re-approach the market, since the market has radically changed. I.E. advertising/print/online/social media. Is consulting really the only option for a polished, creative senior-level executive who excels at generating high-concept ideas, devising strategies that deliver bottom-line results and forging symbiotic partnerships in which all sides benefit? Any suggestions?

Pamela Mark
pamelamark@comcast.net

Re: Learn to Stand Out from the Crowd. 7 SlideShare Presentations for Job Seekers

Rosita,
This is exactly what I needed to read right now. I will try my best to employ that philosophy in all of life today. Very engaging lyric and soundscape. I also love your description of your creative process writing the song and the studio experience. Great reminder to go with the flow, instead of reacting when things don't go as we think they should. As Seth Godwin encourage in his blog post this morning to make sure your strategies are solid before investing large amounts of time in tactics. I.e. social media. I'm making sure I am clear on my goals of what I want to accomplish via the time I spend posting and reading others' posts. This has been a good break.

Re: What Twitter and Facebook Can Learn From Phish

YES! "social networking, like rock and roll, is here to stay" However, as with any brand, be it the Phish, Dell, Wall Street Journal, or Twitter and FaceBook, the markets that consume what they supply are based on the needs expressed by any given community, and those needs are not static. Communities and their needs always change, because that's what humans do. In order to be sustainable, all brands must continue to listen to the needs of the audience/community/market they say they care about, and/or from those they wish to profit.
