Watch the video, McCain threatened Barack Obama's life during their last debate when he referred to the JFK assassination in Dallas as an "intervention." Clearly, McCain, being in Congress for nearly 28 years, knows for a fact something the rest of us only suspect, and that is scary.

Video clip of John McCain referring to referred to the JFK assassination in Dallas as an "intervention." http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Republicans Showcase Health Care Whip Tally - Politics - The Atlantic

Let health insurance companies make as much proit as possible but, in a competive market.

Health care reform doesn’t have to cost trillions of dollars. Simply model a system after Switzerland’s.

Make health care a consumer driven market in the U.S. In Switzerland, a country with a population comparable to Massachusetts, there are ~84 insurance companies while the U.S. has ~15. Expand and enlarge the market and let competition go to work.

Require everyone to purchase private insurance, verifiable through tax returns, 1099/W-2 type reporting, driver’s licenses, I-9 forms, food stamps - whatever. Next, eliminate the tax deduction to businesses for employee medical coverage. Done, and with minimal cost to tax payers.

Now I know it’s not that simple. Employers might not share their bounty by increasing wages so employees can afford to buy insurance, but competition for labor will solve that too. Businesses will figure it out otherwise; the IRS takes 34% of their windfall.

I’ve heard that Starbucks spends more for health insurance than for coffee beans. Why? Because there’s a lot more competition in the coffee market, than in the U.S. health care market. Simple is better. Congress just needs to get its nose out of K-Street’s behind and step up to its constitutional duty to provide for the general welfare of the United States (Article 1, Section 8).

BTW, the Swiss system has a feature not unlike a whole life insurance policy whereby the insured builds up cash value - stay healthy, get cash - such a deal!

Re: Students Protest University Cutbacks, Reality - Business - The Atlantic

How different a couple of genrations.

Sons and daughters of America's Greatest Generation, protested social inequality, equal rights and segregation. And that is illegal.

Having a presence on the Apple board and working with Microsoft's customers (PC makers) against Microsoft, is conspiracy in the real sense and should bring a RICO allegation against Google and its collaborators. What Google is doing sounds a lot like what Intel gets in trouble for a lot. Where is the outrage against Google?

Everyone loves Google. Everyone loves Warren Buffet. If Buffett started building cars, better cars maybe, maybe not and giving them away with the hope and goal of dominating the market for his insurance businesses, would that be fair competition to Ford?

Critics of Microsoft (or is it of Bill Gates) often refer to the "Microsoft tax”, let’s be realistic here. If/when Google realizes its goal of dominating the Web experience, everyone, even those who never use a computer or the Internet, will pay a “Google tax”. The Google Tax will hit all consumers as providers of goods and services pay the Troll whatever it demands to advertise in it’s G-Space.

WTF Microsoft, get your game on!
