Oh my good God.

I haven't read her column for a long time (they were still together) and I am appalled...that is hatred and I am shocked that even the Mail would print that.

I wonder if she had had the children she apparently wanted so badly a couple of years ago she would be touting this tosh.

i look after my home, my 5 month old baby and run what is turning out to be a successful little business whilst my partner works long hours...I work hard. But my baby comes first. I worked outside the home for years before I had my baby and I know which is harder.

And as for the racism...i hope she gets seriously reprimanded. That is not how I want this country to be seen as that is not how this country is...not in the whole. I cannot even begin to explain how awful I think her comments about both Jackie Kennedy and Michelle Obama are.

;) I asked for a sewing machine this year and he told me nothing for the house or the baby...cannot think of anything now!! I am going to buy my own sewing machine now though even though my mum offered...and it is going to be red ;)

I got a fabulous camera last Christmas and loads of little lovely gifts so i cannot complain...Billy is good at gifts!!

I remember reading these as a child...the wicked sisters cutting off parts of their feet to try and fit into the slipper has always stayed with me!!

i still like them better than the Disney versions though. i 'm not sure teaching children that everything always ends happily at the point of marriage is truly right.

I'm not yet sure what i will be reading to Toby...

We split shopping.

He goes to the big supermarket (Morrisons usually) for the basic essentials about once a fortnight and the Chinese supermarket about every month in the car. I am thinking of starting to get this delivered as it would mean I could do it (I don't drive) and he works so many hours both day and evening that this would maybe be best.

Then I get all the daily vegetables and meat and other items on my trips into town with the pram.

This way we always have tins and cat food and nappies and toilet paper and rice in always and I buy vegetables from the cheaper veg shop that you couldn't buy in advance from owing to the produce being fresh and cheap but not long lasting and meat from the butchers...

Also it means I can decide that day what to cook.

But then I guess we are lucky as his dad has an allotment so a lot of veg comes from there and his parents used to own a restaurant so still regularly go to the wholesalers so our freezer is usually full of whole sea bass and pork belly and beef :D

But it may all change once the baby starts weaning in a few weeks!!

Oh and yesterday I bought cream, mushrooms and "Country Life" so that was a productive trip!!

I love the new blog...especially that the red polka dots are still here albeit in a shabbier way ;)

I didn't know about the controversy either so I went back to read...I don't get why people are upset. As a small business owner myself I know things change...that is the way it should and must be for them to survive.

I love your puttery teats and would love more housekeeping downloads. Now my little munchkin is 3 months I am finally getting the strings back and need a spring clean in September!!
