Not sure if you are a coffee drinker, but the Chocolate Bar in Ontario, by Legends wings has great desserts, crepes and cafe de la olla (with cinnamon) And..they are nice people..

This apology and acknowledgement is long overdue. The juxtaposition for me, is that standing by Gov. Newsom is Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians Chairman Mark Macarro. Macarro practices apartheid and segregation on his reservation and he systematically violated the civil and human rights of his tribe via disenrollment.

What he does NOT mention, is that Apis descendants are STILL in the tribe. The claim with this family, was that as a FIVE year old, Manuela Miranda separated herself from the tribe and lived off the reservation....as did the OTHER ancestors of Apis descendants who remain on the tribe. One was a former CHAIRMAN.

The Pechanga Enrollment Committee investigated, that's TRUE, and what they did was hire an expert, pay him nearly $2,000 for his work and then ...IGNORED it, because it proved Paulina Hunter's Pechanga bona fides. MORE than ANY OTHER Tribal family. Also not mentioned by Anotherview was two DEPOSITIONS taken in the LUISENO LANGUAGE that stated Paulina Hunter was Pechanga.
WHY LIE about that, even by ommission. Any "evidence" to the contrary was HEARSAY, "I remember elders saying....." by a man who was then in prison for child molestation....and UNSWORN testimony.

Hunters will GLADLY put our evidence up for review to ANY Native Court. We STILL live on the reservation, now under APARTHEID on our property allotted to us ...in 1895....

UNEQUAL JUSTICE like we faced, and the other family who was disenrolled first, has happened to 11,000 Native American's in the US.

My family has a dozen homes on our reservation, we get TV..and the internet..and we have running water and toilets some have 2 or 3 bathrooms..

We've been for breakfast a few times, and while better than Denny's or IHOP...it's not a destination point for us, nor is the place that took over the place that took over Cafe Montclair. Service was good.
