Noisecontrollers themselves IDing it as Pavo - Communicate means it will be called that. But NC produce for Pavo and the sample in it clearly says 'Finishing', which explains the confusion.

That it might be a good idea for Rebergen to behave a little nicer, so he can go focus on making good music instead of fighting with people.

Also, people keep picking out the Defqon.1 drugs bit. I'm not saying it's a bad thing that he uses drugs, as I bet he isn't the only one by a long stretch. It's just a means of illustrating the way his career has developed: too fast, and with too little guidance. Also, it's kind of silly to be 15 minutes late for your set on Defqon.

Note the Just Say My Name review was done by Carl, not me. And I've actually come to disagree with that review more and more, I can't deny simply loving the melody of The Fear of Darkness and I don't actually mind A New Day, as much as the stolen intro bugs me. Production quality is still subpar though, but from what I've heard his next release might change that.

Yeah, the comments are there for a reason. But still, as I am trying to point out in the last sentence of that review, the ultimate rating is a goddamn well personal thing. And goddamn well hard at that, too. Go ahead and try it - pick 10 random releases from you library and try to give them all a fair rating, pretending it will be posted on the net. Most of the time, it takes me at least 5 minutes of pondering to decide upon it, and I'm never sure if I really got it right. Besides, the difference between 87 and 83, for instance, is marginal. As said, it's a personal thing, and with that I could explain way greater differences than just 4 measly points.

I could be mistaken but I do believe it was you interviewing him after Qlimax 2006.

Also, I may have missed the point in your reply, but you missed the point of this article, as well. It is about the scene, and it is about a new attitude that is being brought into it. A very bad attitude. Note the last paragraph in which I wish for him to start making music as good as in his glory days again, not being hampered by this... gangster mentality anymore.

In order to illustrate and explain that attitude, I had to use examples from what can very well be called his private life. I did not do this in order to bash those things he did, but in order to explain why he is currently not the most loved person in the scene.

Never heard of changing your opinion upon receiving new information? And actually, I might not even change my opinion, it simply depends. If I do, however, receive new information, I might want to update the article accordingly, in order for it to be as factually accurate as possible.

For example: when you suggested A New Day was a collab between HHz and NC, I contacted you asking for the source of that info. If you had provided me with a reliable, trackable source I would have incorporated that into the article. However, it turned out to be too weak a rumour to base anything upon, so I didn't edit the article. Simple as that.

Think, man. If ScuL were Headhunterz' worst enemy, how would he know private things about him that 'nobody knows except Willem himself'. ScuL only knows the things that every other DJ knows about Headhunterz. The scene isn't that big, you know, and DJs/producer do actually talk to each other, about each other.

Right. Let's make one thing clear first: taste is personal, quality is not. Art of Creation might give you goosebumps, but Project 1 didn't make the melody themselves and the whole album was hastily finished and just did not sound polished. Hence, we have mixed feelings about it.

On the old tracks without melody - that's exactly what I was referring to when I said HARDstyle. It's hard, no bullshit. NUstyle may still be hard in some ways but it's way more accessible with all the silly melodies and whatnot.

You do not understand what we appreciate, hate, or love at all.

You see, there is good music and bad music. There is good oldstyle and bad oldstyle; there is good nustyle and bad nustyle. Headhunterz, as one of the pioneers of the real nustyle sound, used to be refreshing, and thus good. These days, he is lazy, makes the same boring old stuff, does not pay enough attention to composition, and is thus rapidly becoming bad.

The point of this site, then, is to point out musically sound releases to the people who actually listen to music with their brains; they listen to a track, analyze it, appreciate, love or hate it. If you are not prepared to make the effort to listen to a song, whatever genre it is, and single out its good and bad sides, compare them, and make a verdict using those proper arguments, then don't bother to reply.

On the 'doesn't make your head explose'-note: this kind of music is called HARD-style for a reason. And let me tell you something: the one thing the HARD-style scene does not need is brainless fanboys like you.

Please, do comment again, but think before you do so.
