Oh, LBM, this was brilliant!! I love me some science, so facts are like candy and this post was sugary sweet. Aside from taking analogies one step too far, I also wonder about my chances of meeting a guy in my own shoes - childless and yet-to-be-married. Despite the facts looking grim, I haven't met many men out who are my age, have been married or have kids. Go figure.

BTW, tell me all you know about Twitter when you have a free sec. I feel like I should use it but am frozen, unsure of what to do. Eek. Help your sista from afar out!

So they named my past year, have they? I'm a clothesmonger and love to shop, but unemployment deems that impossible. So for a year, I've barely bought a stitch. If only I had an income to pay off the credit card!!! Good luck, it really is rather liberating. I use many more accessories in different ways and still get compliments all the time.

I really want to see that movie so I had to stop at "feed them cat food" because I didn't it spoiled. But I suspect the rest of this post was as fab as you always are. And as soon as I watch it, I'm coming back to read this post and see how you relate alien invasions to being a stepmom!!!

Lots of screaming and stomping about may work. Or buying them presents. When my dog isn't paying attention to me, I go to the cookie jar and she instantly focuses on me. Kids are surely just like dogs ;)

Be patient. They will grow up and, once they're 18 or so, they'll think of you as the fab, hip parent.
