My "guess" would be coincidence based on what Frontier just told me on Twitter.

"Yes we are experiencing a large out in Rowlett area. I know that our website hasn't updated to reflect that in the beginning. We are working on restoring services. We are still investigating the cause of the outage. Until we know what caused it, we can't have an accurate estimated time of repair. -Alex"

I actually got someone from Frontier to reply to me via DM on Twitter. This is the message he sent.

Yeah, same for me in Wylie TX also. Went down a little after 8 this morning. Site says no outages in the area. Then their website went down completely. Been sitting on hold for over 30 minutes.

Well we all knew that slimy POS went over on Nortel's dime and negotiated himself a sweetheart deal before he came back and announced the Avaya deal. So I don't know why his announcement yesterday was a surprise.

One sure fire way to ensure failure for Avaya is for them to keep the same crappy management team that was running Nortel in to the ground. Too bad they don't realize this.

Wonder how long it is going to be before Hacker finds a way to get Zero hired in. Maybe they can make him CTO or something since he was so in tune with the industry.............NOT.

All the rumors I have heard seem to suggest that Avaya wants the contracts and teh channel partners, but couldn't care less about the assets or the people. For everyone that is involved, I certainly hope these are just "rumors".

WHEW..... Thank goodness. Why just last night I was trying to explain to my family how it really didn't matter that we might not be able to pay our bills at the end of the month. The really important crisis was whether or not Z's pension was safe. Now I can reassure them that even though he will be slumming with a mere $366k a year, at least he will still be able to send his maid to the store for groceries.
