Did you read the letter from Apple back to Cagle?

Apple simply says it is inappropriate for an App. Being an American company, they totally understand freedom of the press (and the cartoonist) better than most people.

Did he really have comments enabled at any point? Wow. I doubt he would be getting "that type of warmth" he received at the Masters.

He is in a 'no win' situation with much of the world. This is off the planet, but I wonder if Phil had shot 82 and Lee Westwood had won the Masters, if the rancor would have been less. But, the anti-Tiger won and his comparatively marginal career suddenly has people thinking Phil is 'the' player. His last major was four years ago and his average finish this year was 25th place. Some superstar.

Regardless of religion or spiritual propensity, intense negative feelings about someone or something is emotionally exhausting.

Years ago, I really hated Barry Bonds. It was his smug attitude, the steroids, his treatment of others, his 'posse' in the clubhouse, etc., etc. Whenever I saw him on ESPN or anyplace else, I could feel everything positive flowing out of my system and nothing but negative replacing it. Of course, the media made certain he stayed in the news for months on end. I wish I could say I got out of that funk quickly, but I did not and I paid the price. I am sure many Tiger haters are experiencing the same thing.

Not defending my 'glass houses' comment, but it references the infidelity issue Nantz has of his own. I probably should have used 'holier than thou'. For him to hold another to any standard in thought, word or deed is ludicrous.

G*d d*mn, s*cks and many other words barely have the impact of ten, even five years ago. They are not used in polite company, but do get used by many of us on occasion. I have never hit a bad shot at Augusta National during Masters week, so I have no idea what I would say.

People over age 40 are irrelevant when it comes to music, language and the like. Rap music, the Family Guy and Howard Stern dictate the day, NOT peripheral players like Nantz, Billy Payne and John Feinstein...

Steph, I'm not sure I was 'giddy', but when he plays, when he hits the ball and when his putt is rolling toward the hole, it is dramatically different for me than with any other golfer.

This might be betraying my days in the '60's and in Vietnam, but I describe my feeling as a 'rush' when he plays.

I like and respect Jack more every time I hear him speak. Arnold seems too impressed with himself being the 'King'. But, Jack is fully humbled being the best golfer to date to play the game.

As tradition minded as Jack and Augusta is, I would have thought they would have Jack begin as an honorary starter next year, the 25th anniversary of his dramatic laden victory in 1986.

I always thought those type shirts were more for those 'swing-in-a-barrel' or hickory shaft swings. Of course, Ryan has experimented with a few different swings.

Stephanie, I think your "gallery overwhelmingly" favored Phil statement might be a slight exaggeration.

Phil's popularity has grown incredibly over the past five years or so. He's won his majors, he's a little slimmer and he is dressing better. All the reasons people used to find fault with Phil. Even his FIGJAM nickname is losing a little steam.

If Phil and Tiger were in the final group on Sunday, could you even imagine the noise on EVERY shot?

I remain a strong Michelle Wie fan. Professional golfers as a group have a very poor working knowledge of the rules of golf. Since their junior days, officials have assisted every drop and every penalty decision. These days, most pros hold up the entire golf course for a drop from casual water. The better players, Tiger and Phil, know the rules and make the basic calls themselves.

We shouldn't even know who Michelle Wie is yet. She won't be 21 until October and should be competing for her college team.

Her father, Byung-wook Wie, should be convicted of child abuse.

I think TW has a lot more friends on tour than people (and the media) think. He will be a serious distraction regardless of the pairing or group they choose for him.

I heard Palmer say yesterday he heard Tiger's game is not too sharp prepping for Augusta. Direct opposite of what Charles Howell and John Cook are reporting. I just cannot wait to see him play. Can you say "DVR"?

I'm surmising, but I bet more non-golfers of both sexes know Michelle's face and name than all others combined (except maybe Annika)

This will be the 1st time in almost 30 years where the LPGA does not have McDonald's as a sponsor. Hopefully, that changes with the addition of Michelle as a new face on their commercials.
