How dreadful - the Bosnian fans are so aggressive. It's going to be a horrible atmosphere at the stadium, there is going to be so much pressure on the Portuguese players... I hope they can cope.
I would imagine things could get ugly if Portugal win this match

Paulo Ferreira looks so shy in this. As if he wanted to say hello to Maradona too but somehow didn't really dare to introduce himself. I wish he wasn't so shy. He has no reason to be.

Anyway. I agree with you on the friendly (doesn't seem to matter how they do - the chances of qualifying for the World Cup are now very remote)

DAMN Hungary just scored.

Don't think it would be very good if they won the match. Albania have played a match more than Portugal so obviously they would be in a higher position. Hungary on the other hand have played as many goals as Portugal and have more points. I hope Albania can score as well and make it a draw.

WOAH, you know what I just found?? Both legs of that Champions League clash --Chelsea v Porto and Porto v Chelsea
Diara at right back :-( I never understood that. Even worse Essien starting there. There was this notion that Chelsea had a right back problem...but I never saw that. Even before I became so obsessed about Paulo Ferreira I always thought he was a great right back and was always happy to see him play.

Anyway. I will now watch the match and hope it's the same cameras.

I saw an old interview with Petr Cech and John Terry a couple of days ago. It was after a match with Tottenham in 2007 (I think) and Ricardo Carvalho had scored an important goal. Anyway they were saying how Carvolho all of a sudden gets in the mood and goes forward and forgets that he's a defender. John Terry said "He goes into his own little Riccy World" or similar. And Cech added that the goal was also from that special Riccy World - top class.
I really like Ricardo Carvalho - I just get slightly irreatated that he ALWAYS gets praised so much (even when he picks up red cards, score an own goal or causes a penalty) and Paulo Ferreira never does. :-(

I agree sometimes the magazine is very boring... not not nearly enough about Paulo. In the last 13 months there has only been 1 interview with him (when he signed his new contract) but THREE (or more) with Bosingwa. Two with Deco...

Yes Paulo is so nice. He knew how much the number 20 meant to Deco and therefore swapped Numbers with him.
When I first heard about it I was angry because I thought Chelsea made him do it (you know, keep the big star happy) - but when I found out that Paulo was pleased to do Deco a favour I thought it was a lovely gesture from him.

I quite like it when Mourinho loses his patience. He doesn't take stupid comments. And he's very protective of his team. What was the mood like after Inter lost to Man Utd?

Definintely agree that all the best Portuguese players should be made to play in the same league ;-)

I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I hope Quaresma will still be with them (don't forget he's only on loan) - And what about Deco? I know he was born in Brazil but he plays for Portugal now. Surely you would allow him to sign your flag?!?
I fear it will be too soon for Paulo to be part of the team that goes on the pre season tour. Joe Cole might make it - but his injury happened in January.
Anyway you will have to take loads of pictures!!

Well I guess the people from Chelsea magazine thought that all the Chelsea Fans who cared or even remembered that Paulo used to have the no 20 shirt would already know.
There was a very good interview with Deco a couple of Months ago in Chelsea Magazin...and Paulo did all the translation work (again) I tell you the guy missed his calling. He should have been an interpreter in the first place. This season he did a lot more translation work than playing :-(

Great that you got the magazin in the US btw. I get mine from friends in England...that's why I have to wait a while before I can get my hands on a copy - I have to wait until they have read it ;-) You can subscribe to Chelsea Magazine (online or in print) but I can't afford that at the moment.

I remember they always used to cause England problems. I just hope Portugal can get their act together on Saturday. Play as a team and use their chances and concentrate until the final whistle is blown!

And why on Earth was Paulo only on the bench!? No wonder Chelsea didn't win the match!

Do you think you will get a chance to see the full Portugal - Sweden match? Pantera will have to keep an eye out for Paulo otherwise we may never know.
