Militaries are harmful to other militaries. Militaries are harmful to the civilian populations of the warlord states that they are warring with. Militaries are harmful to their domestic civilian populations as they are supported with funds stolen from those civilian populations.

The common thread here is that militaries, as protectors of and conquering agents for warlord states, are harmful.

And I'm not trying to say that the German military (of WWII and any other time) is not harmful. It clearly is.

The "appropriate" use of a military is to either cause harm or deter other militaries from causing harm through the threat harm. So how can you say that militaries are not harmful?

It does seem to be functional now. I started a blog last night. I wish it had user-added events and that I could filter some things that show up in the Site Wide Activity area but I have been told that BuddyPress is very customizable and that these are things that can be tweaked as the administrators get more feedback.

I can definitely see where you're coming from and that seems like a valid gripe. I haven't used Buddypress enough to comment much on it but I do know that I dislike ning because longer discussion threads get very confusing. I would prefer a linear discussion format than what ning provides.

Thanks for pointing out the list of sci-fi stuff. Broke my hand Friday, will have surgery on it this week, and writing is problematic. Gonna read more. Of that list I have only ever read Heinlein.

I have not tried Libertarian Reddit but LibertyPile.com is similar. We could really use more users so that it can reach its potential.

I have several good friends who pitch and sell ShamWow at fairs (I'm a traveling fair/festival vendor) and yeah, their whole pitch is misleading. During good fairs these guys can easily pull in 3-5 large per day.

Then we play poker later that evening... Muahahahaha...

Good point on the radio. I rarely listen to music on the radio. I think a lot of people still do during morning drive time, however. I don't think anything I like is still even protected under IP, to be honest.
