I think with Ed's move to MSNBC.. that he is the guy who will take the "Left" perspective on to other traditionally conservative radio stations.. possibly even some FM. Thom is the guy to anchor 9-12PM.

Big Eddie would also be a fine edition to the digital lineup. Oh.. and for all those that say that Big Ed is crap... Ed Schultz is on the same team... I try to not draw the line in the sand.. but clearly some folks here have. Calling Jon Scott insane...is just silly... because you know that isn't true. My advise is to attempt to formulate the most succinct and reasonable argument for why Thom should remain LIVE from 9-12N.

I'm stuck on the idea that a bulletproof or ballistic turban is even feasible. I agree with the sentiment of the statement BSPA about the opportunity for all officers to serve; and they may serve if they agree to cut their hair to fit into a helmet. In seems to me that Sikhsim precludes them from serving in these roles... not the police's lack of accommodating them. Besides, the helmets woud be like the one's in Spaceballs.

One of my co-workers is from rural, northern Mexico. He said that Cinco de Mayo is a more low-key event en Mexico than Kate described as the typical American celebration. In college, this was always a big event because it was the end of college for the seniors. I graduated on May the 10th 2003.

My recollection is that only one of my parents taught me to wash my hands before eating. I find it fascinating that a kid would ask you for it. I wonder if the same kid who asks you for hand sanitizer will be a germ-a-phobe later in life.

I was discussing pre-existing conditions with Drew yesterday. As your asthma medication is not covered by your current insurance plan, were you suppose to have stayed at your last job until you die....so that you would have coverage? It seems to me that we acquire new "pre-existing" conditions as we age. This is a huge component of the health insurance trap.

Similar to your last story, there is a constantly shifting sense of time both forward and backwards. I as the reader appreciate this as you have substantially developed the main character through his past and current life...all in only ~2000 words.

It sounds to me that the only advantage you have working in the realm of health care is that you can diagnose emergencies better than the layperson. I'd like to do the research on socialized systems and their wait times. We certainly have waiting times in our private/public system... I think most people have fond memories of long stays within the ER waiting room.

Luke... the fact that you even have to spend figuring these situations out instead of starting treatment is a tragedy. You mentioned that you had SELFcare until last week. Is it a common practice in the EMT/Paramedic community to not have health insurance provided by the company?

I am familiar with Person X's work. The bio section to his/her site(not sight) has the same lack luster approach towards sentence structure and grammar. This leads me to believe that the comment about "bad breath" may be a broader issue. If I were to post a similar piece of ill-planned writing on this website, my fellow writers would alert me to this and suggest a rework. What if Person X has no one to critique his/her work? Hopefully, the well-placed words of an acquaintance will be taken to heart.

Principle often flies in the face of a simple analysis of the facts. Point made. One way to expand/redefine a new topic of discussion could be to look at all controlled substances and how our government regulates, taxes and restricts the flow of these products. I too... do not like Bruce Springstein all that much. However.. did you notice that Max Weinberg brought along the horn section of the Max Weinberg 7. I just about spit out my beer when I saw LaBamba on stage at the Superbowl.

BTW... we tivoed the game... so only a few commercials were watched... mostly when someone forgot to push "SKIP".

I am a faithful pants/shirt wiper.... but those who do not wash their hands touch the door... thus negating the germ-free status of your hand. Most airport bathrooms don't have doors but what about all the bathrooms that have them?

Even some folks who don't get rowdy just get way to drunk for a Sunday day game. It's not that way at baseball games.. or hockey games. I'd feel less likely to suffer injury at an 80's L.A. punk show then ramps after the home team loses.

Blackberry vs. Iphone... the most worthless competition in human history. Remember the Razr?!?... or the beep beep PCS phones? It's not the phone so much as the need some feel to be connected to "the network". I've had my battles with it.. but as my contemporaries are snatch up iphones faster than snap bracelets... i'm cool with my "old" pda phone that doesn't do my email and kinda sucks in general. I wish that it could have been sold a while ago... but I NEEDED IT right?!?!?!
