As for whether or not the prince charming trope is bad... yes, yes it is. It's fucking toxic. It teaches young girls that they can't rescue themselves, that they need to wait until a prince on a white horse comes to whisk them away. That's why we loved Shrek so much. And for boys, jeeze, it's even worse! It teaches them that their only function is to show up and save the girl, he rarely even gets the privilege of having a personality.

My point, which I thought was obvious, is that men need access to shelters, counseling, help, etc. just as much as women, so if you destroy the systems in place to help victims, you're ALSO hurting men. Follow me?

The article I read? Listen, destroying systems that help female victims of violence crimes ALSO is destroying systems that help MALE victims of violence crime. Therefore, if you care about men's well being and their access to help should they become the victim of a violence crime, don't sabotage a system that helps victims of ALL genders. But, if your goal isn't to help male victims like you claim, but just to punish women, then this would be how you behave-- by fucking up systems created to help women (and men).

That statistic comes from RINJ, which is a huge global network that does research on sexual assaults, regardless of gender, continuously. You seem to be suggesting that someone who is not an expert would know better? Fact: Rape is not falsely reported any more than any other crime is false reported. And if you'd ever been raped, you'd understand why. Our society crucifies women for speaking up, and when you've already been assaulted and threatened, what do you think the chances of are actually telling someone?

Also, you're NOT a Bible scholar, so maybe you should listen to the opinions of actual Bible scholars who've devoted their lives to understanding what's in that funny book. Most have said that the verses used against homosexuality are grossly misinterpreted. And that's ignoring the whole hypocrisy problem of ignoring the parts of the Bible you disagree with and touting the parts that supposedly support your opinion.
