Led Zeppelin is always a good choice :) They are a huge musical influence for me. Houses of the Holy is my favorite album too. We should discuss it one day...
I'm so excited to see you guys September 22! My two younger siblings and I bought our KISS tickets awhile back in a presale and then we found out later you guys were opening. My sister and I were even more excited for the show but my brother was like "Oh great. You guys are going to act like little 13 year old girls..." hahaha
Anyways, you guys should play an extra show in Utah ;) eh?

Talking Heads are amazing. Stop Making Sense, hands down, the best concert dvd out there. If anybody on here hasn't seen it yet, I would strongly suggest watching it (especially if you want some inspiration). My sister actually played in a Talking Heads show where they reenacted Stop Making Sense. It was for the rock school she goes to.. If anybody wants to watch some stuff from the show:

My little sister is the bassist in those vids. I think it's pretty cool that these kids are inspired by artists like Talking Heads. Anyways, I'm going to stop here before I start talking too much about how much I love Talking Heads.. Ha.

Isn't the Utah show on 9/22?
I can't believe you guys are touring with KISS! This show is going to be awesome!
I found out they were coming to town a few days ago and I already decided I was going :) I'll have to admit, when I found out today that you guys were the opening band, I thought it was all a joke or something.. Now that I know it's real, I'm even more excited for this show! Can't wait to see you guys again!

I wish I could sing like Hayley Williams.
I love this song. It was immediatly one of my favorites when the album came out.. I like the mood it creates when you listen to it.

I'm sort of old fashion whe it comes to books. Most I would recommend, most people get bored reading but I'll suggest them anyways :)
The Essential Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe
anything by Jane Austen
anything Shakespeare (i like the plays that come in the "No Fear Shakespeare" books cause they give you a translation so you can understand them better.. why yes, I am a geek.)
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
The Catcher in the Rye (total boy book but I enjoyed it..)

okay, for more modern stuff i would suggest:
Heavier Than Heaven (awesome biography on Kurt Cobain.)
The Truth About Forever or Dreamland both by Sarah Dessen (They're kind of "girly" though hahaha)
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (I read this when I heard about the movie but now I refuse to see the movie cause the book is so good.)

being me, i would be so pissed that my guitar is just sitting out there in the cold..
i would be very uneasy about leaving my guitar in the hands of strangers for awhile because it's probably the most important thing in my life but that's just what you get with flying..
i have a love / hate thing with flying..
speaking of flying, i might be flying out to the anniversary show.. i'm just debating if i want to go to chicago by myself..

The store by my house didn't have any cool Batman or Iron Man wrapping paper :( so i wrapped everything in penguin wrapping paper :D

Utah I'm assuming?? I was going to go to that show but no.. Here's how that day went for me: woke up that morning stoked, headed to work, texted friends to see who wanted to go with me (they all were "busy"), got off work, drove to the murray theater, parked my car, reached for my wallet, realized i forgot the cash to get it, decided I was too lazy to go on an atm hunt, gave up and went home... I was super bummed.
Haha so, David was at FOB when they came last and all the girls were screaming and pointing up to his little private room and freaking out.. so, me and my sister pulled faces at him for about 15 minutes instead hahaha just a random story.. we got alot of dirty looks from those girls..
Anyways....
I was super bummed..
