For those looking to short AMC or other meme stocks: the action in these names is driven by OTM weekly calls. In the past, these names have topped on Wednesday or Thursday. So, shorting on Monday or Tuesday is too early and by Thursday end of day, its potentially too late.

Could work out well. VIX tagged lower Bollinger Band - typically results in VIX rallying. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean UVXY will rally as well - but good chance it will.

I think he said that the puts were to hedge his long book. That's very different than buying the puts outright to profit from puts.

Since he purchased the puts, the banks, Disney and many other longs of his have gone up several percentage points likely offsetting some of the losses on the puts.

@dougie kass : To confirm, your positioning in SPX & NDX is:
- as of Friday, you were medium sized short in SPY & QQQ, and you added more today
- as of Friday you had Nov & Dec expiry puts in SPY & QQQ
- Sunday night, you shorted Emini S&P futures

And there isn't any of these positions that you have closed so far.
