dude, this KILLED ME. It's not even a GOOD riot grrl costume! Sheesh. So inaccurate. I'd give so many props to a chick in torn tights and combat boots and a Bikini Kill tshirt. I'd steal her away in the night.

Weird timing. Last night I was with a friend in a bummed out mood and I kept flipping past songs because I didn't want to listen to anything sad. I stopped on this one and she said "really? this is your happy song?" And I told her if she can't get happy with such an epic singalong, she doesn't know what joy really is. There's magic in singing this, but only in singing it loudly.

It took me such a long time to get through Wolf at the Table. And I think, despite the musical element tempting me, the audiobook version would be even worse. It's such a painful book.

I saw a spoiler somewhere on line. At first I was sort of pissed that it blew the ending for me, as I would almost certainly watch it one night on tv in the dark. But then I figured I'm glad, because if I'd been watching it and that ending happened without me expecting it, my brain would've exploded that someone dared to do that in a movie.

ACTUALLY...I am seriously proud of you. I was actually going to drop you an email in a couple of weeks and see what you were thinking about the Wii Fit. I really want to get one, but it's going to be a little while before I have some extra cash. I've been enjoying your updates about it and eating better quite a lot. As someone who's been working on this more the past couple of months, I love to read your updates re: health. You handle it with wit and irreverance, just like everything else you say, and I can really appreciate that from a motivation perspective. As you might be able to tell, I'm not a motivational poster or fitness blog kind of girl, and I'm sure you're not either.

Keep up the awesome work. Some of us are really pulling for you. We're just not always the ones who speak up the loudest.

Being a teenager is hard.

I know, I know. Duh. Obvious. Those were the best and worst years of my life, and I'm pretty sure it's everyone's extreme emotional state that makes it the hardest.

At least she has an awesome mom. Even if she only knows it about half the time now. :)
