Most definitely! I picked up the game (plus expansion) while in Japan for that very reason. When Acquire lost Tenchu they went off to create Shinobido, so that's why you see so many similarities to the original Tenchu series.

@Vagrant_AI - You won't be disappointed if you play this series. It was definitely a nice game if you enjoyed Tenchu.

@Ishaan - Did you ever get to play it? I'm really looking forward to this new one!

Good call. Also, if anyone is interested, I know of a reputable source in Japan that could pre-order at a particular place for you and send it when they pick it up. (It's how I got different Culdcept Saga Pre-order playing cards).

Did anyone else picture Metal Wolf Chaos when they read the title? Anyway, the only war sounds like an interesting aspect. I haven't played an Armored Core since the PSX days, so maybe it's time to give it a chance again. How was the last current gen Armored Core? Was it as bad as I heard it was?

GG and VS are definitely hard to top as far as fighters go, in my opinion. Vampire Savior: what a great series that hasn't received a new game in so long and deserves one! They just did things right.

I've always read Siliconera. I have not read or made a comment in a long while for the very reason(s) this article focuses on. It's a shame that the most fanatical (and sometimes ignorant) people are always the loudest and most "heard" people online or in person. Not a particular jab at anyone on this site; I just mean in general. I'll definitely start checking out the comments again because I'm sure there's some good stuff/info between all the lame, useless, one word negative comments that some folks make that I have missed out on.

Well, no matter what, keep up the good work you folks always have accomplished here at SE.

Not only is the vocal minority off-putting to a lot of publishers, it is also off-putting to a lot of other gamers. Well, maybe not. Maybe they just grate on _my_ nerves all the time. Even on a site where so many people share my gaming interests. A little depressing if you think about it.

I love this game. Especially as a fan of the original Tenchu series. I picked up this, Imashime, and the expansion pack, Takumi, while I was in Japan and I have no regrets. I hope this finally gets to shine in the states even if it will be very late. I was just reminiscing about this game the other day! We need a nice return of the "original" Tenchu feel.

I use it for stuff like Tactics Ogre, Front Mission(s), Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy's (or RPGs that the button layout work well for).

Life has been busy but don't worry, I'll be striking up an email soon. I still read SE all the time, I just don't comment much anymore. Especially since I try not to say anything to people when I don't have anything nice to say. ;)

I guess I'll never understand the complaining too much. There has never been a controller I didn't get adjusted to after 1 day of playing. Most people just have a preferred controller for their favorite systems. One controller I really enjoyed was the Ascii one handed controller for Super Famicom and Playstation. I played both of those into the ground for my tactics games and they still work wonders.

I really hate to be the messenger of bad news but I don't believe any company is going to just TOSS in extra content next time if you don't buy new characters. What they are going to do is completely sack the idea and not give you anything new, bringing us back to the old days where people would say "Man, you know what? I'd totally pay a few bucks for a new character--how awesome would that be?!" I do believe, however, that the prices are a bit steep. -_-

Excellent! I'd advise getting online ASAP because you have to start your Hunter Ranking all over again. I wish I didn't play for a week offline before going online. I got up to 5 Star or something solo and then had to do it all over again. -_-
