Michigan has a great deal, no doubt. I know plently of MCLA and NCAA players who would be mighty jealous if they heard about the perks of being a Wolverine.

My college team had Brine helmets for 1 season and they broke constantly - multiple guys went through at least 2 helmets. Personally, I loved that they were so lightweight and comfortable, but it wasn't worth sticking with Brine if we were going to have an extraordinary number of concussions every game.

Given that Riddell has such a great reputation for football helmets, I can only assume that they are the safest lacrosse helmets on the market. I would love to see someone do a comparison between Riddell and Cascade. Any Cascade people out there? Please do lay some hat on this discussion.

Re: Guest Login - Lacrosse Blog, Articles & Content Hub

You hit the nail on the head there, Chris. Idaho is behind the other Northwestern states and Colorado, but the sport continues to grow out there in its own right. The travel teams will be fun to follow this summer. They've got Team Idaho, which goes to the Vail Shootout each year, and All-Idaho, which travels a bit more and takes a run at the Adrenaline Shootout in CA.

Rusty is the man to talk when it comes to discussing the growth - He works out of our field office in the Treasure Valley. I'm hoping he sees this and chimes in as well. My 2 cents: High School lacrosse is thriving and the college teams (U of Idaho & Boise State) are building respectable programs. The thing that's making all this happen? Those who played in Idaho when lacrosse was just starting there are coming back as grown men/women and taking coaching jobs at every level. They are facilitating growth of the sport because they know it's great potential and they realize what they got out of it. I'm sure this is the same for most western states, but it's hearing those "Pay It Forward" intentions that make me confident the roots are set deep and states like Idaho are about to flourish.

For those interested, here are a few features Rusty has done on lacrosse in Idaho:

Idaho's Evolving Lacrosse Landscape
http://www.lacrosseallstars...

Rural Idaho to Division 1: An Interview with Deke Jackson
http://www.lacrosseallstars...

LaxAllStars Video Exclusive: For the Love of the Game
http://www.lacrosseallstars...

Re: Guest Login - Lacrosse Blog, Articles & Content Hub

Hey Coach, when it comes to the Diet section, I think it'd be great if there was info about supplements.
