I think a follow-up examination of how you feel regarding a list of say 5-10 companies or brands sometime down the road would be interesting.

There's always something to learn out of a little self-examination.

Re: louisgray.com: Bias, Bias and More Bias. Has anyone ever needed to justify it?

Re: louisgray.com: Brand Reputation Management Is Not a Monday-Friday Gig

"They need to understand that your brand is at the mercy of its constituents."

That's one way of looking at it. Fire stuff out the marketing end and see what works. Is that the best way of looking at it though Louis? Maybe I'm missing your point here but I think the best advice is to be proactive and anticipate reactions like these. Instead of giving your constituents something to be merciful or merciless with, why not just do your best to keep your branding message straightforward and considerate?

P.S. They, your, and its all in one sentence? I know some people who might be upset with that composition.

Re: louisgray.com: You Control Your Online Noise Velocity

I think you mean "less informed," not more misinformed. Being misinformed implies that what you're reading is not true.

I don't think that those who are more informed of more topics "win." I'm an engineer and if I keep my knowledge of a few key subjects current and relevant then I'm doing well by my standards. I don't need to know about irrelevant topics to be a good engineer, or a "winner" for that matter. It doesn't hurt to read the news though. Maybe Louis wants to weigh in on that one.

Re: Memiary + Lessons of a Weekend Entrepreneur

Thanks for creating Memiary and for this insightful article.

Re: louisgray.com: FriendFeed Offers Twitter A Chance to Play Lifestream

I agree that it's a dumb move to link back to FF instead of the relevant blog post (or whatever it may be). He's got 5 ads clearly visible on the front page being very obtrusive. You on the other hand have some great writing (e.g., "WTF is this crap" - insightful at the very least) and only...5 ads clearly visible on the front page.

I can agree that his post is complete bullshit, and by applying the same criticisms to your post, I come to the same conclusion.
