Good For that Principal! Good For HIM! The Parents point of view is valid only on the surface. Is that Parent gonna pull his kid out of every assembly where they do not like the individual speaking? That's does not truly educate the kid! Is the Principal supposed to submit a list to BE approved by the Parents? Of course not! That's why you have superintendents, Boards of Education and the Educators themselves. This Educator may not like TI personally but he took the responsibility to invite TIP and looked to if TIP has something valuable to add. That is an Educators job! Good for HIM!

Your response is typical as well. If I took two folks who'd been battling with each other and asked them separately what occured and what led to it, both would have a side that they'd feel was valid and justified thier response. In reality both probally ignored several precursors to the incident and could stand to learn from it. And to see my actual feelings check some of my posts the sixth grade has spoken, and the most recent poem on Domestic Violence. I don't tolerate domestic violence but I do understand why and how it occurs. That does not mean I condone it! There isn't one person who does not agree that Rhi/Chris equally were Eff'd up and furthermore, we were not in the car. Neither side has revealed everything. Neither side. That should be noted too.
Last, Von, I enjoy posts but I find your responses while honest, brutal and mean-spirited. It ain't that serious.

Good interview! I wouldn't say she was throwing Chris under the bus though. If anything she has been the kindest to Chris in my opinion cause the media has done it's best to destroy his career and person. She's right about getting out of a bad situation. I hope that Chris gets help and that he becomes a spokesman to Brothers of when it goes bad and How a Man should hanldle it instead of slinking off into a sewer somewhere like some people hope he would do.
As far as interviews...Chris will have his interview one day and it may not be so flattering to Rhi. Will the media then dump on Rhi and will the different publics then view domestic violence from a different better place?

Black Women have not failed Black Men and vice versa, If anything, we've failed each other on too many occasions. Black Men and Women don't "complain" about racism and oppression. These are facts that have damaged the Black Family for generations. But back to the point. Black Women are a part of Black Men! We can't be separated from one another so we have to learn to get past our differences with one another and love one another. Now, if you find someone outside of the race to love or to lust for, cool but that does not negate "US" You still gonna have a Black baby and so am I that's gonna need to be taught their culture, history and destiny.

Black Republicans and so called conservatives are not sell outs cause they are either of the above. You are a sell out if you have not shown that what you are doing is in the best interest of your people. Some Black Folks feel they don't have any responsibility to they people so they vote and sponser and stand with people who clearly desire to hurt and stifle our people.

So called conservatives should be able to explain what they desire to conserve. I'm a married family man who owns a business that does not mean that I feel threatened by a Homosexual couple or want them persecuted. Sure I want a good rate on water and sewage but not at the expense that I can poison a whole neighborhood that happens to be Black!

Once upon a time the DEMS were the open enemy to Black Folks and we voted Repub but then it switched! It ain't switched back!

No love lost for Eldridge! He mastered Marketing and Propaganda! That's all! In the end he was broken! He is not an example of failed Black Leadership, the fact that his influence was so strong in a party that implemented so many great ideas was an example of leadership failure on the parts of David Hillard and Bobby Seale. David has admitted that he wasn't strong enough to deal with Eldridge. But let's be fair Dr. Kathleen Cleaver wasn't some sissy Punk Sistah! She married him, had Babies with em, fought with him, got chased, jailed and exiled too and still had the sense to divorce him and keep on with the movement. Eldridge unfortuately was not alone in his views.
But his great gift is that we can not look at it and say in no uncertain terms. EFF that !

There is nothing wrong with Socialism in and of itself. Democratic socialism occurs all over in European (White folks ) Countries and they ain't complaining. Cuba, a hardline socailist country has a very efficient health care system, educational system and the welfare of it's people. Folks living in Watts, Detroit, Chi Town and Parts of the South can not say that.

The So called Free market and So called Capitalism has not provided an adeqaute answer for our problems. It amazes me that it is still toted as if it had. So called conservatives do all of us a disservice cause they don't point out that everyone does not have a job in the so called free market. Everyone does not have some sort of Healthcare they can afford or even prevention answered by the free market.
The real so called free market is that in order for someone to be Rich or so called Middle class there MUST be an underclass always in order to support that. For all of us who have a problem with that being the means of an answer we demand a better answer. Now, if they free market cheerleaders have some ideas cool. The so called conservatives doggin Obama have given any ideas except I don't like Obama....'s ideas.

Now, to the important stuff, your post. First, there are alot of generalizations in your post. For example, A young Black Boy or Girl can become a piece of shit regardless of the involvement of the parents. Single of not, it takes a whole bunch of people to help raise a child to adulthood. Excuse me, healthy adulthood. If a boy is Homo it ain't cause he's Fatherless, plenty of active homosexual women and Men had healthy Fathers and Mothers in they life and upbringing.

You make a great point saying that just cause you single it does not absolve you of your responsibility. True! Most of our problems Black Man to Black Woman have to do not just with slavery but with each other period. When I was single, I met plenty of Sistas who had that Rah Rah attitude that they didn't NEED me! They didn't NEED a MAN period! They could do it all. I need them. I need them to highlight the love in me so that I can give it to my child. I have a Girl who is now a Young adult. It came to me years ago, that If I allowed her to be damaged, then I damaged a whole generation and possiblly beyond. This was in a spiritual moment. There are alot of Men and Women that this has occured to but there are Men and Women who take an active role in childrens lives and upbringing or at least try only to be rebuffed by the Rah Rah Chicks and Fellas. Somewhere along the line Femininity has become a definition for weakness. It's not! And on the other end the Men have been told that a thugged out look is the height or Masculinity. It's no wonder that Young Girls and Young Women seek to emulate that. On the other side is the so called Metrosexual movement. Since when is good grooming a possible indication of Homosexuality? So much so that you had to define it as Metro as opposed to well groomed?

You mentioned the Sexy Tom Boy look, it is sexy but MJB has since elevated to Evening wear not de-evolved to wearing a Man's underwear, sagging and turning up a bottle. Gay or not! This is definately low class.
