Good afternoon Cheryl,i hope that you are doing well today.Your question as to which walmart i work at,i used to work at the walmart in Joliet IL,i worked there for 3 yrs,and from my experience there,it was terrible,but i guess each store,and management in each store is different,therefore i cannot speak for your store,or for the employees that work there,as to how they interact with others,but in the store that i worked in it was terrible,the employees were not just inexperienced when it came to knowledge of retail operations,but as how to conduct themselves around others,they were lazy,constantly trying to get out of doing what they were there to do as far as why did i have to take care of someone elses area when they were not doing what they were supposed to be doing,when all they were doing was walking around talking with their friends,when i had my own huge area to take care of.We also had very poor management that half of them didnt know what they were doing,and half of them didnt get along with each other,there were alot of racist remarks made by memebers of management toward employees,and towards other members of management,there was alot of favoritism by management towards employees that they were buddy buddy with,that these members of management let these employees do whatever they wanted to walking around talking on cell phoned while the people that actually did some work had to cover other peoples areas that were not doing there work.There were members of management that were trying to see who or which employees were talking about the unions,and if they were trying to unionize,they were using illegal tactics such as illegally listening in on conversations,and illegally recording these conversations to use against the employees which is illegal under the Omnibus Crime Control & Safe Streets Act of 1968.There were managers illegally following employees around when they were not at work which is against both state,and federal laws,which i saw this happen with my own eyes,it happened to me.I was followed around by securtiy people that worked for the store.They followed me to at least eight different places in one day,and i was prurposely going to places,and driving around basically in circles to see if they were following me.I used to be in the military and was in a field thats called The intelligence field,kind of like what the fbi,and undercover police do,to gain information on drug dealers etc,we used to do the same thing in ther military,so i know what to look for,which walmart wlaked right into this which i was documenting all of this just to see if they were following me.They seem to do this when they know someone is really pushing for unions,or when someone has strong ties to a big union,or to presidents of unions,which i may,or may not have,but they knew that i was pushing for better wages,better health care,and trying to talk with people about unions coming in so that we might be able to get a union to represent us.When walmart knows that a person might have the power,and will power to make these things happen,they go after them full force,why else would securtiy people,and management from walmart be following me around watching my activites when i was not at work,and the only way that someone can do this is by putting whats called a gps tracking device on a persons car to follow them which is illegal as well under state,and federal laws.I dont know if you know much about security type of operations,but this is how the police track people by putting devices on their cars,this is also what workmans comp people do when they are watching someone who gets hurt at work,these are insurance people that do this type of thing,then they can track them anywhere they go to watch them,this has been documented by various police depts.If you do some research about this you can find out alot of information.In fact if you get a chance look up a website that will give you more information about this type of activity just so you are more educated about this.The website is called www.spysource.com where one of the pages within this site state the facts that police as well as other govt agencies as well as companies put tracking devices on people cars,and in their businesses,and peoples homes illegally to gather information about people.It says that over 90% of businesses have had illegal tracking devices/bugges put in their businesses by other businesses to illegally gather information that they can use against other businesses,as well as that police,and government agencies illegally wiretapp or put bugging devices on peoples cars to track them which it states that over 70 percent of cases that police try to bring against people get thrown out of court because of the police using illegal methods of wiretapping to do this,and it says only about 1% of cases that the police,and that the prosecutors try to go forward on in court as a result of this illegal activity by the police.It also states that companies use bugging devices to illegally listen in on people conversations,and to follow their employees around which is illegal to do,and if you can find out about,and prove that they are doing this then you can take them to court for that.There is another website,that is a union website that is the UFCW website this is the Commercial workers union website,and this website states that just a few years ago walmart was caught illegally listening in to conversations,and illegally recording the conversations of employees at the New York Times NewsPaper Building,and that after walmart was cught doing this,that they came out in a newsconference about this,and admitted to doing this,and they were fined millions of dollars for doing so,and the New York Times sued them for this.Now how can anybody say that this is right for walmart to break the law.and do this.If anybody were to say that they think walmart is right for doing this,then they are just as wrong,and just as brainwashed as others are at walmart.Also look up the website www.wal-martlitigation.com,or www.wal-martlitigation project.com.Its a website run by a lawyer with the Tennesee Bar Association who compiled court cases that have been brought against walmart by employees.former employees as well as others,and you will see that walmart continues to break both state,as well as federal laws even after being admonished by judges around the U.S.for conducting these types of activities.The name of the lawyer who runs this site is Lewis L.Laska.Like i have said,the more information gained by educating yourself,the better off a person will be.Also from what i heard from managers at the walmart that i worked at,when they go through management training,they are told,and forced by the district managers,and by the home office to harass the employees,and force them to work off the clock without pay,and force them to do work that they are not supposed to be doing,or are not trained to do.This type of thing is just that harassment,illegal,and if & when you do get into management,please do not change the way you treat others,just for managements sake,or because someone in the homeoffice told you to treat workers bad,and please dont be surprised if what i'm telling you is the truth.You will see once you get into management.They also tell their managers to change peoples time cards so that the people do not get the money for the hours that they worked,believe me it's very easy to do i have seen it done before at another retail place that i worked for where a member of management did this right in front of me,and i asked him about this,and he said as managers we are told to do things like this.They go into the computer,and change the times on there,they initial it,then they send it up the line with full knowledge of the president of the company,and or the owners,how do you think these companies make millions of dollars,they cheat.Well as i said i Good evening Short42.I would like to add something here if i may,and please do not take this as a insult,and please do not take this the wrong way,because i do not intend it to be an insult or anything towards yourself.I would like to thank you for some valuable information that you gave,probably not realizing that you gave this information,but if i may use this as a way of or a likening to walmarts tactics,that i wasnt really sure if the police worked for walmart,i had a inner feeling that they were from what i saw at the store where i worked at,but now that i know for sure,i know how to handle certain sitauations regarding the police.In the state where i live,i had a instinct that the police were working for walmart,i met a few of them in the store where i worked,and they said that they wroked in different depts,or in different aspects in the store,and i know that alot of them worked as security,but when i went to the police station where i live to find out more information regarding the police working for walmart,i was given the runaround by the police dept,with their superiors telling me at first that there were no police working for walmart,but i kept pushing,and low & behold the police dept changed their story,now they tell me that there are police who work secondary jobs with corporations such as walmart,and that there are probably some police from their dept who work for walmart.See i'm the type of person to keep digging for information no matter what the cost might be,so that i may learn the truth should it be needed in any circumstance.Just like the police use their badges & guns to scare people,and to intimidate them,i can use information to get to the truth, should i need to.Thank you again.Have a great evening. Good afternoon Short42.Let me ask you a question,or pose a question to you.Why did you put all those exlamation points behind the walmart,it kind of struck me as being kind of funny,because i was trying to picture a person saying this to another person in real life,and it sounded like yelling or as of to say pro walmart,not that it's any big deal, i was just wondering.I guess thats why i dont know jack because all the district people,and home office people are different in different places,or maybe they only have certain people that come to stores in certain states.But at any rate like i said i'm neither for the union or walmart.Let me ask you another question.I'm not sure if i read your blog or not,but someone said on here that they had a second job which was a union job,and if the union were to ask this person to sign a union card at walmart that they would,but that they didnt believe in what the union was doing at walmart,isnt this kind of like the pot calling the kettle black so to speak?i dont understand how a person could have such views if they have one job that is a union job,and their first job,is at walmart.Just wondering.I dont know what to make of all this nonsense with both walmart,and the unions,i dont think one is better than the other,since they both use tactics that are illegal,and that are considered harassment.I think charges should be brought against both entities,and that both of these entities should have to pay millions in fines for their tactics,and that the money from the fines should go to the employees who need it for their bills,and their health care etc.I have looked up information about the unions to,and the presidents of the unions are the ones who make all the money while everyone else suffers.It should be a across the board amount for everyone in the unions not just the presidents,the workers are the ones who deserve the money they are the ones out on the job.Well i will close for now.Have a good day. How are you tonight?i hope all is well with you.I would like to add something here if i may.You have been very polite,and very decent regarding our replies,or discussions regarding these stories or issues that have been presented here.The person who has rds on here is very rude,and very mean regarding the issues that have been presented here,and for people that reply back who try to be polite,regarding the issues that have been presented.One of the things that this person rds does not have os knowledge of these issues,nor does this person have knowledge of what these entities really do to people.I have conducted research on both the unions,as well as on walmart,and this is why i can speak on issues that i have conducted research about,and understand what these isuues are really about,and all i was trying to do was let that person know what information i came across that might be of some help to others,so that they can learn from this knowledge,and they can better prepare themselves for what may be ahead in their battles with corporations,and with the unions.There was no need for that person to be so rude,and angry.I would also like to bring something else to your attention that is just a friendly gesture so that you know where i'm coming from regarding this issue.Going to the police doesnt necessarily help either,because there are alot of police who work for walmarts security apparatus,so if you tell them whats going on,they would go back to walmart,and tell them,so then walmart can use this against the employee,in the tactics that they would employ against the employee to see what their reaction might be to what they do,the other half is that there are alot of police who are union people,so then those police would go back to their union,and say hey this person is complaining etc etc,so ither way we as either employees,or former employees are screwed.The best course of action is to get or obtain as much information that you can regarding these entities,by going to different websites,or by looking up research through court records to see what both of these entities have done to people so that way you have documentation to prove this in case you have to go to court about this harassment.It works for a person if they have documentation to prove this.Also i would like to add something else that is a question plus a friendly gesture to help you.Who is this person named Jack,i have never heard of him,is he a district manager or something?the other thing is that it might not be a good idea to talk to management about this,or to anyone in the homeoffice,because if it is walmart doing this to employees,then walmart has the upperhand regarding this because then they know how to use this against you.The other thing i would like to add that if you have some time,look up this website www.wal-martlitigation.com,i think it also goes by the name of www.wal-martlitigation project.com.This website is run by a lawyer who is with the Tennesee Bar Association who compiles actual court cases that employees,and that former employees have brought against walmart in both state,and in federal court,that proves the illegal,and harassing tactics that walmart uses against people to make it seem like it is union people doing all of this.I dont know if you know it or not,but walmart has the biggest antiunionbusting groups in the world that pose as union people in stores to see what the employees are doing,and what they are talking about as far as unions go.This is why i say that not all of this is being conducted by the unions,a big part of it is being conducted by walmart also.As i have stated in replies to rds, i do not take anybodys side.I do not take the unions side,and i do not take walmarts side.I do not believe in employees being harassed by anyone,it's not right for the union to do this,and it's not right for walmart to do this.I will close for now,but i hope you have a great evening,and if you have some time,please send a reply message back.Sincerely Anthony

Do you not listen to yourself,how goofy you sound,read my last blog reply to you.Educate yourself before you speak on things.Look up this information,& you will find out that i'm telling the truth.Go to website www.wal-martlitigation.com it's run by a lawyer out of Tennessee who works for the Bar Association.It's a compilation of cases against walmart from employees,former employees,unions,attorney generals,lawenforcement agencies,& others who have documented all of the illeagl activities that walmart has conducted against people,these are actual court cases in both state,& federal courts.As we speak there is one of the biggest discrimination cases against walmart for discrimination of it's female employees,this case has been brought against walmart on behalf of the United States Dept Of Justice which is a federal arm of the fbi,which conducts undercover operations against corporations that conduct these types of illegal activites.This is a case of intense magnitude,this case is in the millions of dollars,in punitive damages,which walmart has beeen found guilty of,but they are trying to cut a deal with the feds to settle this case which is what walmart always does to try & get out of trouble that they keep causing.Like i said educate yourself before you speak on issues.To include that walmart has people from their front groups that comeinto the stores with uniforms such as with outfits that have union patches on their clothing that try to trick their employees,to find out what their employees are doing as far as union talk is concerned,this has been documented in case after case with the NLRB in court cases in federal court which is posted on the website that i told you about www.wal-martlitigation.com.This has been documented by the U.S.Dept Of Justice which also overssees these types of cases.Once again educate yourself before you speak.Later.

First off i was not bashing you about your job as an employee,nor was i bashing you about your position here,but it seems to me that why would a person get so defensive regarding things that walmart is doing to employees,unless that person knows what walmart is doing,and is sticking up for them in this process.I do not stick up for the union or walmart,i think it's wrong for either entity to act in such a manner,so i do not take sides,i have been on both sides of the coin so to speak,i have had union people doing things as well,but you have to look at the big picture,walmart has so much power,& money much more than the union will ever have,if you have ever read about walmarts illegal activities on websites that prove that walmart has one of the largest antiunionbusting operations in the world,where they have whats called front groups that act is if they are union people to see what the employees are doing,and discussing as far as unions are concerned,and when walmart finds out that certain employees are actually for the union,and trying to gain better wages,health care etc for workers,then walmart sends in their antiunion people to start harassing the employees.This has been documented by various police depts across the united states,all you have to do is look this information up,and you will find out the truth.There is actual documentation of union people conducting these activities also.There is a site that proves all the illegal activities that walmart does,these are actual courtcases both state,as well as federal against walmart for all their illegal activities.This site is called www.wal-martlitigation.com it's by a lawyer with the Nashville Tennessee Bar Association whose name is Lewis L.Laska this website is a compilation of all the cases against walmart for their illegal activities across the united states,their has been Attorney Generals from across the United States that have gone after walmart for all their harassment not just of employees,but walmarts harassment against people in the community who do not carry walmarts views regarding their illegal ways.You should really educate yourself about whats really going on in the world,befire you try to attack someone on an issue that you know nothing about.Look up police reports from across the united states about complaints regarding walmarts harassment,& illegal activities,how do you think that these cases get to where they are at in the courts,from various police depts,from attorney generals from across the united states,from the Dept Of Justice which is run by the fbi,look up this information some time,then get back to me.I'm not paranoid either for your information,i know what i'm talking about,i do research on these subjects before i speak on them.Walmart has lists that they keep of all the people they pay to follow their employees around i actually saw this list that happened to be sitting somewhere that it shouldnt have been,and when a manager realized that i saw this list,she immediately took this list,& put it away somewhere.Also if you ever look up how big walmarts security apparatus is,& that they have people followed around every day,people who they deem are either pro-union,or against the company in any way.I had securtiy people from the store i worked in follow me two different places i was going to when i wasnt at work,such as going to the gas station,going to jewels grocery store etc,this is illegal to do,& the only way someone could conduct these type of activities would be to put whats called a gps tracking device on someones car so they can follow you,this is the same thing that police depts use when they are watching people who are doing things that the police deem illegal,such as drug dealing etc.how do you think people are able to follow other people around.Insurance companies do the same thing when someone gets hurt at a workplace,these are called workmans comp insurance adjusters,where i live their have been cases of this type of activity whivh the police have said that these people put gps devices on peoples cars to track them down so they can watch what they are doing.Once again educate yourself before you speak.Have a good one. Hello again,i wanted to let you know a few other things that you may not know about that may interest you,and to keep your eye out for.Did you know that walmart has a group that is whats called a front group for walmart which are being paid by walmart to go against the union/union busting groups,that come into walmart stores in union type of uniforms etc to pose as union people to harass,& intimidate walmart workers,but they are not union people,they are actually walmarts front group/union busters that are being paid by walmart to make it look like they are union people,so that they undermine the real union people,and these front groups are paid to harass the employees,and follow them around,if you do a little bit of research about walmarts illegal tactics/harassment you will find this out.Dont automatically think it's union people that are doing this,because how would they be able to know who the employees are,and how would they know to follow employees around,unions dont have this kind of money to conduct these types of operations,there are tons of union people who are not working because of the economy,and there is no way that the unions have that kind of money or resources to conduct these types of activities,but walmart does,think about it,and it makes perfect sense for walmart to be the ones doing this to make it look like unions are doing it,most of the unions are just as broke as you and i,they dont have the resoursces to pull this off.I'm not trying to make the unions look good or anything like that,but the unions do not have the money or power to conduct these types of activities.They might be able to follow one employee out of about three hundred,this is about the ratio that they would be able to handle.Walmart has much more power,and money to be able to conduct operations such as these. First off i would like to say that i'm not here to bash you as a worker,and i cant comment on what is happenning in your particular store,but i can speak for what took place in the store that i worked in,& from what i experienced,and was put through by management,and by the shady insurance company that insures walmart,once they find out that as a person,as an american,as an a employee there,you will stand up for your rights,and you will defend what you believe in,they immediately start to harass you,they try to use intimidation tactics against the employees,they have their securtiy apparatus put tracking devices/gps devices on their cars similair to what you said the union does,they secretely follow you around spying on your activities,because i found them doing so,so it goes both ways,but once again i can only speak of what i have seen,with my own eyes,and what i have experienced myself as to the tactics of walmart management,& their security apparatus.I was even approached by different members of management in the store where i worked,and was told by these managers that they knew of my whereabouts even when i was off work out and about in town,and that they knew where family members of mine were traveling to etc,so please take caution with what you might think about walmart,& their management team,and always be aware of your surroundings,and who might be around you watching you,or following you around,because it could very well be the management team there.Let me pose a question to you,and also let me pose a challenge to you to see if i'm telling you the truth,just go either around where a union hall is,or where there is a union building,maybe go in there to ask for directions somewhere,and see if shortly after this that you do not see members of your management team,or the securtiy people from your store following you around,which would be a harassment technique.as well as illegal under state,& federal laws.If you do see these people from your store following you around,then they performed an illegal activity by putting a tracking device/gps device on your car,and like you mentioned in your story about the union,stalking,which is against the law both state & federal laws.Then see if i'm telling you the truth,and also just look around you when you go to different places in town,and see if you do not constantly see people from your store no matter what shift they are on popping up at every place you go to,i can tell you from experience,this is not natural for the same person,or people to pop up at evry place you go to or travel to,i dont even see my neighbor that much,it would be a little strange for them to pop up at every place i go to,that would be stalking.I'm just trying to help you in your experience not just as an american,but as an employee there,if you tend to see union people doing this,you will be surprised to find out that walmart management is doing these things as well,and maybe much more than you think.I wish you well. Type your comment here.I'm a former walmart employee of store 1256 in joliet il where i was harassed & intimidated by walmart managers & by the insurance company that insures them because the insurance company works on the companies behalf to harass & intimidate workers who are trying to unionize,they have an elaborate scheme in which walmart has people that wear union types of uniforms to trick employees to see what employees are doing as far as unionization,& when walmart finds out what these employees are doing they harass & intimidate them in many ways with threats of being hurt in accidents etc to thwart their attempts to unionize.I know for a fact that walmart had a hand in an unfortunate accident that involved myself almost being fatally hurt,although i was basically unharmed when i returned to work walmart managers looked as if they had seen a ghost i guess they though their little scheme was going to work,& they seemed to have known what happened to me before i even mentioned it,which leads me to believe that they had a hand in this.walmart is a terrible company that uses threats & intimidation against the workers there.
