Union Supporters</title><link>http://walmartwatch.org/blog/archives/wal-mart-says-hasta-la-vista-union-supporters/#comment-12711552</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Good afternoon Cheryl,i hope that you are doing well today.Your question as to which walmart i work at,i used to work at the walmart in Joliet IL,i worked there for 3 yrs,and from my experience there,it was terrible,but i guess each store,and management in each store is different,therefore i cannot speak for your store,or for the employees that work there,as to how they interact with others,but in the store that i worked in it was terrible,the employees were not just inexperienced when it came to knowledge of retail operations,but as how to conduct themselves around others,they were lazy,constantly trying to get out of doing what they were there to do as far as why did i have to take care of someone elses area when they were not doing what they were supposed to be doing,when all they were doing was walking around talking with their friends,when i had my own huge area to take care of.We also had very poor management that half of them didnt know what they were doing,and half of them didnt get along with each other,there were alot of racist remarks made by memebers of management toward employees,and towards other members of management,there was alot of favoritism by management towards employees that they were buddy buddy with,that these members of management let these employees do whatever they wanted to walking around talking on cell phoned while the people that actually did some work had to cover other peoples areas that were not doing there work.There were members of management that were trying to see who or which employees were talking about the unions,and if they were trying to unionize,they were using illegal tactics such as illegally listening in on conversations,and illegally recording these conversations to use against the employees which is illegal under the Omnibus Crime Control &amp;amp; Safe Streets Act of 1968.There were managers illegally following employees around when they were not at work which is against both state,and federal laws,which i saw this happen with my own eyes,it happened to me.I was followed around by securtiy people that worked for the store.They followed me to at least eight different places in one day,and i was prurposely going to places,and driving around basically in circles to see if they were following me.I used to be in the military and was in a field thats called The intelligence field,kind of like what the fbi,and undercover police do,to gain information on drug dealers etc,we used to do the same thing in ther military,so i know what to look for,which walmart wlaked right into this which i was documenting all of this just to see if they were following me.They seem to do this when they know someone is really pushing for unions,or when someone has strong ties to a big union,or to presidents of unions,which i may,or may not have,but they knew that i was pushing for better wages,better health care,and trying to talk with people about unions coming in so that we might be able to get a union to represent us.When walmart knows that a person might have the power,and will power to make these things happen,they go after them full force,why else would securtiy people,and management from walmart be following me around watching my activites when i was not at work,and the only way that someone can do this is by putting whats called a gps tracking device on a persons car to follow them which is illegal as well under state,and federal laws.I dont know if you know much about security type of operations,but this is how the police track people by putting devices on their cars,this is also what workmans comp people do when they are watching someone who gets hurt at work,these are insurance people that do this type of thing,then they can track them anywhere they go to watch them,this has been documented by various police depts.If you do some research about this you can find out alot of information.In fact if you get a chance look up a website that will give you more information about this type of activity just so you are more educated about this.The website is called &lt;a href="http://www.spysource.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="www.spysource.com"&gt;www.spysource.com&lt;/a&gt; where one of the pages within this site state the facts that police as well as other govt agencies as well as companies put tracking devices on people cars,and in their businesses,and peoples homes illegally to gather information about people.It says that over 90% of businesses have had illegal tracking devices/bugges put in their businesses by other businesses to illegally gather information that they can use against other businesses,as well as that police,and government agencies illegally wiretapp or put bugging devices on peoples cars to track them which it states that over 70 percent of cases that police try to bring against people get thrown out of court because of the police using illegal methods of wiretapping to do this,and it says only about 1% of cases that the police,and that the prosecutors try to go forward on in court as a result of this illegal activity by the police.It also states that companies use bugging devices to illegally listen in on people conversations,and to follow their employees around which is illegal to do,and if you can find out about,and prove that they are doing this then you can take them to court for that.There is another website,that is a union website that is the UFCW website this is the Commercial workers union website,and this website states that just a few years ago walmart was caught illegally listening in to conversations,and illegally recording the conversations of employees at the New York Times NewsPaper Building,and that after walmart was cught doing this,that they came out in a newsconference about this,and admitted to doing this,and they were fined millions of dollars for doing so,and the New York Times sued them for this.Now how can anybody say that this is right for walmart to break the law.and do this.If anybody were to say that they think walmart is right for doing this,then they are just as wrong,and just as brainwashed as others are at walmart.Also look up the website &lt;a href="http://www.wal-martlitigation.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="www.wal-martlitigation.com"&gt;www.wal-martlitigation.com&lt;/a&gt;,or www.wal-martlitigation project.com.Its a website run by a lawyer with the Tennesee Bar Association who compiled court cases that have been brought against walmart by employees.former employees as well as others,and you will see that walmart continues to break both state,as well as federal laws even after being admonished by judges around the U.S.for conducting these types of activities.The name of the lawyer who runs this site is Lewis L.Laska.Like i have said,the more information gained by educating yourself,the better off a person will be.Also from what i heard from managers at the walmart that i worked at,when they go through management training,they are told,and forced by the district managers,and by the home office to harass the employees,and force them to work off the clock without pay,and force them to do work that they are not supposed to be doing,or are not trained to do.This type of thing is just that harassment,illegal,and if &amp;amp; when you do get into management,please do not change the way you treat others,just for managements sake,or because someone in the homeoffice told you to treat workers bad,and please dont be surprised if what i'm telling you is the truth.You will see once you get into management.They also tell their managers to change peoples time cards so that the people do not get the money for the hours that they worked,believe me it's very easy to do i have seen it done before at another retail place that i worked for where a member of management did this right in front of me,and i asked him about this,and he said as managers we are told to do things like this.They go into the computer,and change the times on there,they initial it,then they send it up the line with full knowledge of the president of the company,and or the owners,how do you think these companies make millions of dollars,they cheat.Well as i said i hope that you have a great day,and i hope you think about what i have said,and i hope that you will look up some of this information so that you will have more knowledge of the kinds of things that are really going on,and to educate yourself,so that you will have this knowledge should you ever need it. Sincerely Anthony Gritz. &lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Militaryman1</dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 07 Jul 2009 20:30:05 -0000</pubDate></item><item><title>Re: Wal-Mart Says: &amp;#8216;Hasta La Vista&amp;#8217; Union Supporters</title><link>http://walmartwatch.org/blog/archives/wal-mart-says-hasta-la-vista-union-supporters/#comment-12182863</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Type your comment here.I'm a former walmart employee of store 1256 in joliet il where i was harassed &amp;amp; intimidated by walmart managers &amp;amp; by the insurance company that insures them because the insurance company works on the companies behalf to harass &amp;amp; intimidate workers who are trying to unionize,they have an elaborate scheme in which walmart has people that wear union types of uniforms to trick employees to see what employees are doing as far as unionization,&amp;amp; when walmart finds out what these employees are doing they harass &amp;amp; intimidate them in many ways with threats of being hurt in accidents etc to thwart their attempts to unionize.I know for a fact that walmart had a hand in an unfortunate accident that involved myself almost being fatally hurt,although i was basically unharmed when i returned to work walmart managers looked as if they had seen a ghost i guess they though their little scheme was going to work,&amp;amp; they seemed to have known what happened to me before i even mentioned it,which leads me to believe that they had a hand in &lt;a href="http://this.walmart" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="this.walmart"&gt;this.walmart&lt;/a&gt; is a terrible company that uses threats &amp;amp; intimidation against the workers there.  &lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Militaryman1</dc:creator><pubDate>Sun, 05 Jul 2009 21:00:31 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
