I bet Heather would have broken into your house for you if you hadn't been able to get your opener!

Now go get some keys made! Right now! Don't wait for a Groupon deal or anything :) Get a new lock if you have to. What if there was an emergency (like, I dunno, a hurricane Ike or a Katy tornado?) - your garage door opener wouldn't work.

Re: Positivity and Rainbows

Here's the thing, and how I've seen similar things work in the past. Someone compiles a list of possible blogs- either in house, a consulting/PR firm, or perhaps in this case, BlogFrog provided a list of their top users.

Then, assuming ABC has a brain, they go visit the sites (with URLS already provided) to vet them. And if a company cold clicks on Mckmama's blog, what do they see? They see a FB page with 10,000 fans. They see a blog with lots of pictures, of cats and goats and whatnot. They see lots of comments on posts showing reader engagement. Perhaps they read a few random posts. Mckmama posts several times a day, so as a percentage, her very egregious posts aren't likely to come up. So they see little posts with pictures of kitties and Christmas lights, pictures of children holding chickens, pictures of children painting pictures.

If you haven't followed her blog, you wouldn't know that so many of her posts directly contradict other posts. You wouldn't know how many comments are deleted or banned. If you didn't google, you wouldn't find this site.

To "fresh" eyes, her site appears to be a legit mommyblog with a highly engaged audience.

Re: Positivity and Rainbows

I posted links to all the places you can contact http://www.milehimama.com/b...

Re: Positivity and Rainbows

I don't know what their relationship is. I DO know that a few months ago I emailed BlogFrog to ask them directly what relationship they had with Jennifer Mckinney, aka Mckmama (i.e., was she a board member, employee, private user, etc?) and I never got a response to any of the emails and messages I sent.

But I'm sure I typed the address in correctly... as they responded to me over this ABC thing. With two different stories. ABC says that BlogFrog is handling it. BlogFrog says the post was sponsored by ABC. The disclosures such as they are say BlogFrog, but JM said ABC asked her to post. No one seems to know anything.

Thanks everyone who emailed me, also. I appreciate it and I'll keep you posted.

Re: Open Floor

Thanks- he's a nut. But Moody's are making noises about lowering our credit rating from AAA to AA+ if the debt ceiling isn't raised. This is actually a big freakin' deal because many people who hold US debt- our own Fed. included- are required to hold ONLY AAA debt. So they'd have to sell all the US treasuries, glutting the market, causing the dollar to fall. If the dollar goes into a full fledged crash it would be bad for pretty much the whole world. China has billions and billions in US Treasuries, and if the dollar falls they'll lose billions and billions and it would be like dominos.

Also watching the crybabies in D.C. makes for good television.

Re: This is Your Brain

We call it "summer salad". Also, shower caps (I got some at Dollar Tree) Get a creamy conditioner (I used Suave coconut). Add tea tree oil to the conditioner. I used about 40-50 drops for the $1 sized bottle of Suave. Wash daughter's hair, then coat it in the conditioner. Really lay it on there thick. Leave for an hour or so (use the shower cap to keep it all contained.) Then comb it out with the nit comb (have a towel or something to wipe the excess conditioner on.) You should see a bunch of nits and lice come out with the conditioner. Then put more tea tree conditioner on and sleep overnight with it (use the shower cap again) OR wait several hours. In the morning, AGAIN comb out with nit comb and then wash hair. I also put some tea tree oil in a spray on detangler/leave in conditioner and sprayed it on my girl's hair.

Wait a week and repeat the treatment (life cycle of a louse-they take 6-7 days to hatch, so if you miss any nits, it will hatch but won't be mature enough to lay new eggs; hatched lice are way easier to get rid of than the nits.)

The careful combing with the metal nit comb is really THE most important step. Don't skimp here! You might wanna pick up some Redbox before you get started.

Re: Jealousy

Don't be jealous of people without stretch marks.
http://www.cafemom(dot)com/journals/read/176908/The_Beauty_Love_Left_Behind

Re: Nicki Woo - The Home Guru: Homemade Lower Sugar Fig Jam and Canning In the Microwave

You can CAN in the MICROWAVE?

Hmmm. and hmmm.... it beats water bath canning especially in Houston but will it really keep long term with just microwave heat and low sugar BOTH? Sugar acts as a preservative and the boiling kills the botulism. Interesting... In WordPress you can upload photos into your media gallery or you upload them to your host server where they'll just hang out until you pop them into a post.

I've put pics in my gallery for future use before but never posted to WP on a phone, but I would assume that the WP app would let you add pics.

It's also possible, given the odd title to the post, that she had the pic and first lines written then saved as a draft (to be completed later); then she completed it with her current health/pain post and published. I draft post ideas this way all the time, to be written later when I have time to finish it.
