Shouldn't a team with two supposed NBA talents be able to beat one with kids that not many other schools recruited? First, there is no way those two are ready for the NBA. I wish the press would stop promoting that move (even Dakich). Second, I.U. hasn't put together two decent halves of b-ball in over a month. Zeller can't be expected to carry us every game, he needs help. The guard play is faltering, while Sheehey and Oladipo are not shooting well at all. We also have almost no bench contributions. Right now I can't imagine them being able to put 5 games together for wins. The season has been a success so far, but it would be nice to go out playing well. Regardless of what some people here say, I think Crean has done a great job. One thing people tend to forget is that the seniors and juniors are kids I.U.took that a lot of other big name schools were not recruiting. The really top players were not going to come to Bloomington. With Zeller, that's all changed. Give it just a little more time. We are back, but maybe not quite all the way yet.

I still say Zeller and Oladipo are not ready for the NBA. That was very evident today. If they leave, they'll both have very short careers. Stay one(Oladipo) or two(Zeller) more years and they'll increase the length of their stay in the pros. Right now Zeller is no where near as good as many subs in the NBA. He's not going to get any better riding the pines. Oladipo's shooting needs more work. He's almost back to where he was last year. The poor refereeing did not make them stand around and go one on one the entire game. Zeller still needs a lot of work on his post moves. Please, please use the shot fake once in a while ! If he doesn't, he'll be eating the ball in the next matchup.

Of course we'll miss him. There'll be no one to replace him with. That doesn't mean he's anywhere near ready for the NBA. His post moves are almost non- existent and he's not a good enough athlete to shoot over guys or to block shots. He needs two more years to develop moves and strength. He's very liable to end up just like Kirk Hasten.

HALLELUJAH - SOMEONE ELSE FINALLY AGREES WITH WHAT I'VE SAID ALL SEASON. AS A COACH, I USED TO TELL MY KIDS THE BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN IS THE OTHER TEAM BLOCKING A SHOT EARLY. FROM THEN ON YOU CAN OWN THEM WITH THE SHOT FAKE. ZELLER WOULD HAVE HAD THE TWO MINNESOTA POSTS OUT IN THE FIRST HALF, IF HE'D SHOT FAKED. YESTERDAY WAS THE SAME SITUATION.

ZELLER NEEDS TWO MORE YEARS AT I.U. TO HAVE A REALLY SUCCESSFUL PRO CAREER. DUKE'S MASON PLUMLEE FIGURED THAT OUT AND HE IS MILES BETTER THAN HE WAS TWO YEARS AGO. WHEN THE REFS WON'T CALL THE STRAIGHT BLOCK AS A FOUL, YOU FAKE AND DRAW A FOUL THEY CAN'T IGNOR. I NEVER SAW THAT ONCE. ZELLER IS THE REASON I.U. BASKETBALL IS BACK, BUT HE NEEDS TWO MORE YEARS IN COLLEGE. WITHEY WAS PITIFUL AS A FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORE, BUT LOOK AT HIM NOW. IF ZELLER JUST WANTS THE INTIAL MONEY AND THEN MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE, GO NOW. IF HE WANTS AN NBA CAREER, STAY TWO MORE YEARS.

NO, IT ISN'T. I KNOW HIS EFFORT LEVEL FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND IT'S ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. HE HAS NO INTENSITY, PASSION OR ENERGY. OLADIPO HAS ALWAYS HAD THOSE. HE NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL.

YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW HIS HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY. HE IS INCREDIBLY LAZY. HE COASTED IN GAMES UNLESS SOMEONE ANGERED HIM. THEN, AND ONLY THEN, HE LOOKED LIKE AN ALL STAR. MOST OF THE TIME AT PRACTICE, HE WAS A ZOMBIE. HE SHOULDN'T EVEN BE MENTIONED IN THE SAME EFFORT CONVERSATION WITH OLADIPO.

Zeller is what the true student /athlete should be. I think he's leaving prematurely, but that's his decision. Without him, it probably would have taken many more years to get I.U. b-ball where it is now. The Hoosier nation owes him a big thanks !

I.U. fans should not condemn Kentucky for recruiting one and done players and then hope to recruit this kid. Go after the good Indiana H.S. players. You get them, you'll win a national title sooner or later. Probably sooner !

That could be the most misguided and ignorant statement in the history of ITH….Ryan is a HOF coach that has owned I.U. and has always been honest and a players first coach…He left the way he did to aid his assistant and help him over some family health issues as well….I love I.U., but get a clue !

Do you know that practices are shorter or less intense ?…I've wondered about this for the last few years since each team seemed to fade late in the season…The amazing part of the latest surge is that the defense is doing things they've never done in all the other Crean years…They help with a purpose and actually double up and trap the ball…They no longer do the jab step and swat at the air…Today, NW drove the baseline and TB had to rotate over to stop him….Much to my amazement, CH rotated to guard the post and actually stole the pass….This has never happened before with Crean's teams…My question is, what happened - why now ?…That play alone gives me hope for the second half of the season that I never would have had a month ago.

How pathetic is it that a team has lost 13 straight away games to a team that never has nearly as many 4 or 5 star recruits (not to mention McDonald's All-Americans)….5 of 13 scholarships for Wisconsin are walk-ons or non-impact players….Showalter was a preferred walk-on….Hill, at one point this season, played 2 minutes in 6 games….It just shows the low level of overall Hoosier coaching/recruiting/strategy/development/organization in a program for many years and by more than one coach….What's also amazing is reading this article and the fan response... It seems acceptable because we played hard and had a chance to win….Before this game, many here were thinking this team could win the B1G….It's entirely possible that our 7 B1G wins are over not a single team that will make the tourney….From a basketball state and a basketball university, I expect more, meaning wins, not just effort and near loses…..Kansas has won 12 consecutive conference titles….Heck, I'd be happy with one, here and there…..Again, pathetic!
