Obama goes over 10 Percent, I would say, "Good Riddance" and "May God Have Mercy In Your Miserable Soul!" And, sail on!

Re: Financial Rescue Bill

Thank You, Representative George Miller, I thank you and my relatives also thank you, three of us vote in the area you Represent.

Tos say that the new legislation is a "far cry" from the 3-page original is, to my way of thinking, an understatement. To transform a Bill that would have taken over a Trillion, considering interest and the non-existent possibility of a pay back because the country would be ruined, one way or another, and replace it with a bill that addresses the key issues of survival and jobs needs a proper superlative that is not in my working vocabulary, or my Wbster Tesaurus. It is a brand new bill that will achieve the stated objectives, the previous one was a sham urged on us all by fear and scare tactics reminescent of the need to attack Iraq "We will fight them there, or over here!"
I am proud the House of Representatives defended and fought for the survival of the United States in ways I don't think I fully understand but, being a long term USAF Officer, (maj), I find your actions far more effective, in terms of promising results, that our Military Forces in Preserving the Union.
I am one of those that though the initial bill missed the target and, from reading your lengthy and etailed letter (thank you, I like details, that's where the truth, and the devil, are, someone said). your brand new "replacement" bill will attack this enemy of our nation and, when we win, we will have avoided, even, the possibility of a Depression, like many were increasingly "predicting", for whatever reason they had.
Thank You Sir, we and the Nation owe you much.

Michael F. Sarabia

Re: Looking to the Future of Discussion

Suggest you consider the Category of Economy.
The world and the nation is rapidly going downhill and the Newspapers are notoriously late on recent changes, some missed the Rescue Bill and that headline was "bailout Done" (close to that) when in fact it had been voted down.
The Global effects and interaction are not presented, explained or discussed, they are ignored. This is a big change from the past, when we couldn't care less about what happens "overthere", now we see the impact on what they do and what they do not do, like their recent failure to bailout some major banks, or whatever.
Do consider. With SubCategories, of course.
