Some of them prove the underlying message here. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, you may want to read and educate yourself more.

I disagree that we should abolish pubic and homeschooling. Why would anyone suggest abolishing choice. There are obvious advantages and disadvantages to both. Homeschooling is going to take a well organized parent and a lot of patience. I admire that determination. And as for the social part, I cannot say I had a good social experience in public school. Kids are cruel to each other. Public school is convenient for most parents that need to work to properly take care of their childrens' needs. I don't even blame the teachers or the schools for the poor education. Many of them have their hands tied.

Now that my children are mostly grown, I finally feel educated and mature enough that I could homeschool them. But that option has passed. Maybe I can make a difference in my grandchildrens' lives, when I do become a grandparent. If my children will allow it.

My concern with public education is in this post. Sadly it appears many people didn't understand it, and took it too literal. I was bored and unmotivated with school. I educate myself now. I read frequently and feel a hunger for knowledge. But if I was put in the situation that his 7 yr old daughter was, I would decline it now. It would stifle my hunger.

I don't see the answer in taking away choices but in improving them. Complaining isn't producing. We could sit here all day and argue about what we think should be done. Why not just do something. A pissing contest and public display of our ignorance has yet to resolve any real issues.

Wake up!
