Of the VP choices, I favor Bershear for two reasons. He fights for what he believes on very difficult terrain. That takes courage, resolve and stability. Second, he's in great fighting shape, going up against the KY Republicans and defying "Moscow Mitch," the most effective operator around. Bershear would handle Vance easily, spank him and put him to bed, and he'd be a huge thorn in Trump's side.

McCarthy invited 1/6 rioter Taylor Taranto to DC to review security footage of the 1/6 riot. He showed up with parked near Obama's house in a van filled with weapons and explosive devices. He found Obama's house with the direct aid of Trump who posted pictures of said house on social media.

WTF?

Why isn't this the top story about McCarthy this month. Why isn't it the top story about Trump this month?

Are we so jaded that McCarthy and Trump get a pass for enabling the violent attack on a citizen and former president? Apparently so!

The other poison pill is the mifepristone abortion pill ban that under consideration by the Texas federal court. It's pure Soviet science with judges acting as though they know more than 20 years or so of FDA research and real world experience.

Mifepristone accounts for around FIFTY PERCENT of pregnancy terminations. You think there might be a backlash of epic proportions? Without a doubt!

Join the real world. The chief clerk of the Miami Federal Court announced that Cannon is the judge for the Trump trial and that assignment is permanent (NY Times 6/10): "The chief clerk of the federal court system there, Angela E. Noble, also confirmed that Judge Cannon would continue to oversee the case unless she recused herself."

So all the geniuses who said her assignment was temporary or that she'd recuse herself have only one option, voluntary recusal. Her rulings were so embarrassingly bad one establishment legal expert suggested that she or her husband may have been bribed.

This is a huge problem. Cannon's behavior indicates that she's an extremist in the service of Trump fascism and a sociopath. So much for the rule of law.

There's one chance that this is reversed in a way that allows a speedy trial. The higher ups in the 11th district may just tel her to take a hike.

Laurence Tribe knew the deal and said Cannon's anticipated delaying tactics and/or the appeal to remove her will allow Jack Smith the time to file a January 6th case and get it tried promptly.

Trump is the logical conclusion of deliberate choices of the Republican Party. The GOP made its first bargain with the devil through the Compromise of 1877 when it gave up Reconstruction in return for the Democrats allowing Republican presidential candidate Rutherford B. Hayes to win the contested election of 1876. The successes of Reconstruction were replaced by the Klan's virulent and successful white supremacy campaign. The next deal with Satan himself was "the Southern strategy" of 1968. The Republicans revived the race card to convert the south to solid white Republican mendacity.

Trump is the logical conclusion of this horrid history and his cull following including delusional and violent "know nothings" who revel in his nihilism. I'm glad that Ginsberg is attacking Trump. But there were no good days of the modern Republican Party since 1968, just the continuation of racist platforms in return for votes. The party death spiral may consume us al. One can only hope that this is not the case.

School of Public Health research study). And, let's not forget that the Muslims were the designated foreign menace following the collapse of Communism. Having said all that, I am grateful for Krugma's willingness to stand up to W, the last anti-Constitution, wannabe tyrant installed by the Republicans cabal. What about the cooperation of the Portland Police? They're arm in arm with the mystery Feds roaming the streets. The Portland Police are not confining the the Feds to federal property and they're allowing the kidnapping of citizens that they are pledged to "protect and serve."
