Is there a way to use fivestar rating with disqus comments? Are Disqus comments fieldable entities on Drupal?

Thank you for this article. It saved me a lot of time figuring things out.

I followed your instructions and managed to get the sidr working. I am using slidr for exposed filters for mobile. However, I am running into a couple of issues. Any thoughts on how to fix this this will be very useful:

1. I cannot click on radio or checkboxes within sidr. Click event makes the sidr disappear and nothing happens.
2. Also - I would ideally like the sidr to stay until a close button somewhere is clicked. How do I achieve this?
