Happy New Year, Ashley! Nothing but the truth here. I used to chalk up the type of nonsense Chuck tried to pull to being borderline sociopathic, but that may be too kind....lol

I'm with you on the secrets too. As I often tell folks, I'm the "secret keeper of secrets". Why people want to divulge stuff to me is a mystery, but what it often boils down to is "drama sharing" as you described. As the world turns...lol :-)

Maybe it's me but anytime I hear/read "we're destined to be together" I always wonder what the missing word is...

...destined to me *miserable* together?
...destined to be *locked up* together?

Hate to say it but the around the way cliche of "people stay losin'" popped in my head. Hopefully she will realize that the connection they have is tied up in emotional extremes...not love...or any love I'd want...

This ladies and gents is a great example of a long forgotten character trait called 'maturity'. Knowing what is good for us at a given time vs. following what others think is good for us is not easy but necessary in order to live life based on your terms. I'm a firm believer that fools rush in...and if a relationship is meant to be a re-evaluation of circumstances can't destroy it. Thanks for sharing, Chele!

I totally agree. There are 364 days of the year to complain and tell the world why the father ain't worth a dime. Let those who have done the right thing for theirs (and often others) and the dads by other titles (uncles, grandads, etc.) who stepped into the role based on their love and concern for another have their day.
