You may know that they are in an appointment or meeting, spending family time, driving the car, trying to chillax, just plain busy, etc. Rather than force them to deal with the distraction of an inopportunely ringing phone, you've given them the gift of a succinct voicemail that they can listen to when they have time. Slydial is a wonderful alternative to the time suck of couching the information you need to exchange in the niceties/banalities of a civilized, two-way conversation. DId I mention they have both a free and a premium version? Yay, slydial!!

Re: Win an Extreme Geek Makeover by Geek Girl Camp

This is easily one of the coolest contests I've ever heard of! It's kind of like Pimp Your Ride for the technology aspect of a non-profit. I'm sure there are plenty of them who need this and would love to win the prize of a friendly Geek Girl makeover invasion. I can't wait to see who wins!

Re: Best Buy Named as Title Sponsor for Geek Girl Boot Camp Boston/South Shore

Best Buy is smart to get in on this before it goes national. They are in as one of the first major sponsors, so they will likely always have the "right of first refusal" for sponsoring in other locations. I've heard that there's a lot of interest in holding Geek Girl Camps in several west coast locations. This is primed for explosive growth - it's already exciting to watch and is only going to get better!

Re: Are you a Young Professional on Cape Cod who wants to stay here?

Whoops, I should have replied to this comment instead of starting a new one below. Please take a look at it, Ryan.

Re: Are you a Young Professional on Cape Cod who wants to stay here?

Hi Ryan, Bellezza, the salon and medspa I run on Main Street in Falmouth Village has run a commission-free gallery as a community service to support our local artists for the past 6 years. We prefer to feature work that isn't overtly "Cape Coddy" and I think you clearly know what I mean. We would welcome the opportunity to review your wife's work and see if it is a fit for our space. At the very least you could both meet several people in their twenties who work at Bellezza. Have her get in touch with me if she's interested in exploring this further - melissa@spabellezza.com
