Where did those funds come from? I am not a fan of "parades" even the Mummers Parade I do not attend but if funding is the reason why this parade was cancelled then an explanation as to why the other two above mentioned were still permitted to go on.

Re: Letters - South Philly Review

Yes I do believe that everyone deserves a 2nd chance however think of those that committed a crime for the 1st time without any history of priors...their crime being out of desperation due to job loss, illness, a ill child or spouse...whereby lacking strenuously any traits of being a criminal and truly are repentent for their crime. Now let that same individual whom even the courts understood the "why" of their crime go out and find a job with "the having been convicted of a crime" box checked off on their application. Whereas I believe there are kind hearted employers out there willing to give the 2nd chance, the majority are not and for the few that do? The pay isn't going to be any where near $1.5 million dollars. This was a crime of greed, that lacked conscience, caring and basic "human" compassion. I believe he is sorry. Sorry that he was caught! I also believe that if he were not caught, there would still be under his eye and leadership, many more poor animals tortured, tormented, used for bait to feed the bloodthirsty requirements of the dogs trained to kill and then tossed and burned like trash. Was Vick hungry, cold, ill, saving a loved one that he needed to do such a horrible thing? No!!! So he can tell his story to the press all he wants, this particular "human being and animal lover, is NOT buying it! I would rather have a losing season then have this man represent my team!

Re: Word - South Philly Review

Yes I do believe that everyone deserves a 2nd chance however think of those that committed a crime for the 1st time without any history of priors...their crime being out of desperation due to job loss, illness, a ill child or spouse...whereby lacking strenuously any traits of being a criminal and truly are repentent for their crime.
