I think a more balanced programme could have explored the impact of 'mixed race' people in our society.I wonder how a white or person of African descent would have presented the same argument? What Prasad failed to do - as highlighted in the article - was to ignore the fact that class and status WILL have an impact on success, irrespective of ethnic origin.

Re: Voice Online :: Introducing Dionne Bromfield

Heard this child's album ...and it's simply an immature girl trying to sound like an adult. Perhaps in a few years she'll have a killer voice and brilliant album. But not now ...stick to your GCSE's, please!!!

Re: Voice Online :: GHANA: Cadbury ads slammed for stereotypes

Mmm? Cadbury's still seem to miss the point here. How can an advert of Ghanaians simply dancing (albeit brilliantly) in relavitively impoverished conditions reflect ".. joyous and uplifting portrayal of Ghanaian culture and something which Ghanaians can feel proud of". We would have been better served seeing how Cadbury's undeniably positive efforts to show how Fair Trade practices had created economic, educational and social changes but instead, we saw quite frankly, pathetic stereotypical impressions with the classic.... thick lipped, chocolate bean head!

Re: Voice Online :: Couples celebration turns sour at Slug and Lettuce

Should this not be a warning to ALL BME people, that Slug and Lettuce seem to operate a customer service along racial identity lines? How can a pathetic comparison to a 'hat' be a satisfactory explanation - as provided by Nick O'Neill - for such insulting business practice? Clearly, it would seem that S&L's business philosophy is to '..insult cutomers... but still expect you to pay the bill!' I You have been warned.
