However at my old playground I helped several people. It helps alot and keeps people in the game. Just think if the girl playing Tau played some jerk who just smashed her again we could have seen a new tau army on ebay, but you helping her has probably kept her in the game. Good on ya Joe.
Congrats on the wedding hope it is a great day for ya. And when we gonna see some pics of these ulties and i really wanna see these crows your working on they sound KEWL.

Re: And the winner is...

OH I ALMOST FORGOT.....
A SUPER SPECIAL THANKS TO RON, for organizing and putting this together and to his FLGS -Game Vault for the prize support and sponsorship.

Re: Gaurd v Tau Battle Report 1250 pts Annililation

Are your guard vindicated now? sounds like you found the chink in the tau armor and got into it. I still think Tau in an annhilation, but your facing a rookie tau vs' your long played guard, the odds are starting to lean more in your favor. I just wanna hear the report now. Oh I made a call to vegas and thye have it set at a 4th round knockout guard as the underdog 3 to 1. Oh and by all means take the heavy wound ogryn, don't they have FNP too? There's your c/c with some shooting right there.

Re: Allergic to Green?

I LOVE IT, Death to the greenskins. In all seriousness, I feel you, However I don't blame the others I blame the GW's I think secretly they have blogs and they blog and push the new items on us over and over to the point of sickness. However thats just my conspiracy theory. Give it some time by may the guard will be here and we'll be seeing fun new tanks and squads and hopefully the first gw plastic flier (crosses fingers.) I did find it humerous though and in no way offensive.

Re: Future Conflict - Place your bets on the Tau and Guard listings

Well I have looked and looked at this and though I want to give the imperium the W, I think the Xenos take this one. Albeit this depends on whho goes first and how and what the objectives are. In a straight up annhilation the tau take it. The multi targeters ability to move shot and then hide is gonna be rough. Your Ogryn can slaughter but they're cumbersome and thetau will just move away. They have the range. Beware the firewarrior line. Note just reread and saw the chimera. The ogres have a shot. If you can flank with the riders and fast attacks and push him into a kill circle with the ogres coming in from the other side. THEN SLAUGHTER. I still think the tau get the fire support and pop the tanks and take it in annhilation. However in any objective based mission I see draws most likely as the point to kill should be secondary to the taking of objectives. It'll be a firefight and very brutal on the objectives. But I think that the utimate game decider comes down to you. Since you're playing yourself I think the guard take your heart being your favorite army for so long and thus you let them take out the tau so your boys don't feel bad. :)
SO to finish this long post. Thanks by the way this made me think and want to play it out in my head.
-Straight up annhilation no emotions to either side Tau win
-Objective based games no emotions to an army Draws but either could win it.
-Emotion to the guard comes into play any game any style Guard win.

Re: Update on the new Tau force

From the games I have played against tau the major Tau force appears to be mechanica. however the best tau player I have ever played played almost all mechanica with 2 squads of kroot sharpshooters. The kroot are your c/c, I don't like them but every tau list I have ever made (i was gonna start a tau) has included atleast 1 squad for some c/c help. The mechanica looks coolest though.

Re: Chaos Terminator Lord of Nurgle

awesome, I like him alot, can't wait to see the finished destroy of worlds.

Re: HELP!!! and a bit

I'd spend the 6pounds more and get what you need. If you have any Defiler sprues laying around some of the alternate heads for that you could make death masks. load up some weapons and it should be fine. Add all that to your paint scheme I think they'd be very chaos. Also (little fluff time) Nids are controlled by telepathy through the hive minds. Maybe your boys fought a nid horde and killed off there mind. Then you were able to captiure 3 loose bio's. You make a sorcerer who is just fluff but base him with the 3 and he controls them via a permenant telepathic trance. When in doubt make stuff up.:)

Re: New army or new approach?

I know you didn't ask but i think if anyone, you could pull this off. You wanted pre heresey and you like the combat patrol/small special unit games.
This would take a good amount of bit fund money and some time and skill. But build an emperor and his original primarchs team. And then use em in like a special elite unit build. They'd work in Apoc. too since you can make your own rules. That's something i've not seen done yet. I've seen 1 or 2 primarchs but not All the originals with the emperor. You could play em like the old GW special rules where your marines fought like they do in the books where 1 squad takes out an entire legion. (wish i could find those rules). But if not don't fret have faith in the emperor and he will guide your hand. LOL, i'm sure something will come to you.

Re: Stripping Paint with Dawn Power Dissolver

I just picked up a bottle of Power Dissolver yesterday. Awesomly enough Wally world had it on sale 2 for $4.00. So naturally i grabbed 2.
