It wouldn't be the planning authority. The council would probably consider it criminal damage to the public highway. Quite a risk for soemthing that you'd probably not be able to use most of the time, as it wouldn;t be an allocated parking space.

In the UK utilities have specific rules and permissions for this. The chance of a council allowing you to put in your own charging point on the public highway is basically zero. That's leaving aside the fact that parking spaces aren't reserved, so you wouldn;t even know that you'd be able to park there.

There's no way of running a cable to your car. You're lucky if you're even able to park outside your own house, and even if you were, you can't run a cable across the pavement (sidewalk).
I've lived in streets like these most of my life. Even now I live in a more rural area with no pavements I don't have off-street parking.

I don't know about the US, but in the UK at least you don't own the sidewalk outside your home. I'm not sure the local council would be too pleased with you running cables underneath it.

Hey. Did you set the subdomain properly in the code? Is it giving you an error, or is it not showing at all? I'd check the domain settings on Disqus, and also check with dev tools to see if it's loading the DIsqus js file.

This ad is supporting local businesses too. Maybe someone will see the ad and decide to walk a few minutes up the road to KBK Shoes, a local independent shop on Cheltenham Rd which is Bristol's main DM's supplier.

The @LabourAndy account didn't amass those followers. The account used to be Eoin Clarke's @EvidenceUK account, which amassed those followers over a couple of years. He deleted the old tweets and renamed it a few weeks ago. Sneaky.

You think a few signs are more visually polluting than a street jammed with cars? Anyway why don't you just get a tradeperson's permit? That's what they're for. What kind of business makes a decision like that when they have no idea what the effect will be? 30 minutes free parking, and £1/hr after that is a lot more appealing than the current situation of no parking at all.

It's true the photos are of BBs. That's because I'm in the UK, which has very strict firearms laws which make it very hard for me to get hold of real guns. However the flash is certainly fast enough to capture even 3200fps bullets. The flash duration is around 500ns, during which time a 3200fps bullet would travel about half a millimetre.

I get why people want it. It was certainly better to see the first photos, even when I'd known for months that it was theoretically going to work! I don't have a psare prototype to send to the US, so I'm trying to track down someone with a firearm certificate in the UK who can help.
