Don't let these 21st century slick ads trick you either.

Re: Google, Scientology & Adsense: What's Going On?

Flunk: Verbal tech ( and propaganda). Scientology's Citizens Commission on Human Rights aka CCHR is the most radical organization in the USA, a step right from terriorism. Scientology uses the very mental and communication tactics they claim the psychs use. How hypocritical. So glad you pointed it out on this article page because people need to know just how bad scientology is and CCHR is one of the main reasons why. How many dead mentally disturbed scientologists does it take before Scientologists realize that Scientology is driving them nuts? How many die for following scientology's strict antipsych anti traditional medicine agenda? The deaths of Lisa McPherson and Ellie Perkins represent all that that is so wrong about scientology. There are hundrends if not thousands more like them who chose Scientology's way of help and died from it. Wake up buddy. This article is about Scientology spam and propaganda via Google AdSense. Stop distracting readers from the topic .

Re: Google, Scientology & Adsense: What's Going On?

Yes, there is a spiritual war of sorts going on. Scientology is evil and people recognize it for what it is. People are fighting back. Even the Catholic Online news is reporting:

Scientology Summarized in one word: Abuse - Catholic Online
http://www.catholic.org/nat...
Scientology Controversy Continues: Expose Underway -
http://www.catholic.org/nat...

I used to be an ignorant scientologist like you.I thank God I got out.

Re: Google, Scientology & Adsense: What's Going On?

Scientology always floods the internet with ads when their public relations are in a bad way. Over the last year, scientology has been in the media for the Anonymous movement, for former high level member defectors going public, along with multiple lawsuits accusing it and it's front groups like Narconon, of human and civil right abuses and financial fraud. Its as if the flood gates have been allowed to open as critics and the media have found the strength to take a stand and report the abuses and intimidations. This is a tough time for Scientology but for many, it's a sigh of relief to see the attention drawn to what has been known of and going on for many years. The Google ads are just an indicator of how bad things are for this cult.

So, this is why the increase in ads. Scientology policy dictates it. Goggle has allowed this spamming of websites all over the internet and as you state, because of the money and the possible fear of retribution by litigation. So, Computerworld and other publications like i4u writing articles about this AdSense situation is very important because you have expressed what so many have been reluctant to say while the frustration builds. Maybe now Google will listen. If not, and if the 'infestation' continues Computerworld's suggestion to take their ad account somewhere else is going to be the route others will take.
