By no means was I making fun of Virginia. I'm not that sort of person... I am just stating the facts as I was there and you were not. I was looking forward to seeing you there but I guess something of this importance was not that important to you!

She is in no way ready or suitable for the job as mayor. If she is elected that "Sign" that she had nothing to do with that she lied to the police about will have to be put back up. She will run this City into the ground. She said it herself that she is not very smart. She pretty much didn't answer any of the questions and what was with all of her facial expressions and yes she did take her shoes off they didn't fall off. There was people there that have never met Virginia that said what is wrong with that lady? She had stack of notes that did her absolutely no good. I understand that you have a personal grudge against Pete Lewis and that's ok. You ran for Mayor and you lost out in the primary and rightfully so since you are a wack job with personal vendetta against the Mayor and only God knows how you got over 800 votes.

So now we are left with the two candidates...One who continue to make this City grow and prosper (Mayor Lewis) and one who will sink it faster than saying "Shelley Erickson is a wack job!"

So People if you read this blog and you are a person that votes and votes for the best interest of the City of Auburn make the right choice! Yes there are two names on the ballot ( Sorry Shelley one is not yours, Thank You God!) Pete Lewis and Virginia Haugen... Reelected Mayor Lewis as the second option is no option at all!

Oh yeah Shelley thanks for spewing the same ol garbage as you always do. It takes your credibility away also...oh wait you never had any.

Ok I was there tonight at the mayoral debate and in one word " Slam-dunk!" Mayor Lewis made Virginia look like she had no idea what she was talking about...because she didn't. She had a pile of notes that she pretty much couldn't use. Face it folks if your voting for Virginia you might want to reconsider. She is very uneducated about City government and being on the council she has no excuse for not knowing. She actually called herself and idiot and stated the fact that she is not very smart. She stood up there making faces and she looked very uncomfortable. She is that train wreck you just can't watch but you have to look because you can't believe your eye's! At one point she took her shoes off. The lady may love Auburn and that's great but just because you love the place doesn't mean you are a candidate for mayor! Please people when they air the recording of this debate on channel 21 watch it! You won't believe your eyes. Make the right choice on November 3rd and vote for the only option... Re-elect Mayor Lewis!

Joeboy I can't agree with you more!
There is no other choice for Mayor right now then Pete Lewis! You think things are bad now...Just vote Haugen mayor and things will go from bad to worse within a matter of seconds. She will have to put her sign back up that she lied to Police about.
Just because she has served on the City Council does not make her fit to be called a politician let alone Mayor. What this city needs is stability and continued growth! With Virginia your going to get uncertainty (since she has no idea on how to be mayor and run a city of Auburns size) and a stop in progress. You think there are holes in downtown now...with her in office the holes will only become bigger and not developed!
I understand there are people out there that don't like Mayor Lewis and what he and the city council are doing but I'm here to tell you Virginia is not the answer! I have known of her for some time and I'm here to tell you a vote for her is a vote in the wrong direction this City does not want to go!
When it is time to cast your vote do the right thing for the City of Auburn and vote for the only qualified candidate and Re-Elect Pete Lewis.
Now I know there are going to be people...Like Shelly Erickson... That are going to bash me and to them I say bash away.

It will be nice to see these two in debate! I hope it's a packed house as it will be nice to see what type of candidates we have running for Mayor. One who knows the City inside and out and only has the City's best interest in mind and one that thinks they have a clue but really doesn't.
