Also, Sam, to further your point, which may or may not have referred to Piven's character personalities versus his real-life personality...he is THE BIGGEST dick of any celebrity I have ever come into contact with. That is a pretty extensive list including OJ Simpson, Simon Cowell, and George W Bush. Actually, I take that back...Pete Rose is the biggest dick, but he's so far and away worse than any other human being on Earth, that Piven deserves the #1 slot by default.

Sam, next time you are in Westwood for a short period of time and have difficulty parking, head straight to the Whole Foods. An hour free and they never check to make sure you're actually going into the store. Worst case you just walk in and walk out. It's kind of a pain to move your car every hour, but the theater is close enough that it may be worth it.

Sam, what are your thoughts on California Dreams? I feel like it either deserved a spot on this list or a shoutout at the end of point #2. Personally I'd put it at the end of point 2, even more so now that the actual Sharky's burned down! It also did a great job of featuring a black guy and an Asian chick and not making it seem forced.

I would agree with Sam, though I think you are probably right (she just did a bad job with syntax)...here's the dissection:

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for mass amounts of people from all over the country to feel the need to donate money to a ballot initiative that is happening in a completely different state.
- I would read this as how frustrating it must be for people against prop 8 to see all of the LDS and the like supporting something that has nothing to do with them.

The fear of whatever is going to happen if two consenting adults who happen to be of the same sex fall in love and choose to make a life together astounds me (Because by not allowing them to marry a magic fairy is going to visit them and instantly make them attracted to the opposite sex - sarcasm).
- She is amazed that anyone could care so much about anything that has nothing to do with them.

However, I don't think that people who did donate money to protect the right of all people should be criticized.
- This is the pivotal sentence. What she should have said, if you guys are correct, is something like "While these people are insane, there are also people who donate to PROTECT the rights of people, and we should limit our criticism to the psychos that feel the need to take rights away". As written, it looks like she is flipping gears, as SG said, with the However, and not clarifying that people who donate to PROTECT rights are in fact a different subset than the people she mentioned in the first 2 sentences.

They are supporting the right cause. More people need to step up, not with just money, but also with services and time to fight this. Even if they have more to give in your eyes, they did take the time to give something and by criticize them it may encourage them not to give next time......and next time is going to be really important!
- once that other sentence is clarified, this sentence either becomes a support of people against prop 8, or a complete 180 propaganda piece.

the bottom line, as always, is that this most likely would never have happened if the stupid government just created a proposition where YES didnt mean NO, and NO didnt mean YES!!!!!!!!
