Exactly. I can't get over the feeling that I can't get a deep enough breath, and that I'm suffocating because all the air I'm getting is carbon dioxide.

I do this too; it drives me nuts. My desktop could be cluttered to hell and look awful, but it doesn't annoy me until it has one icon out of 47 highlighted unlike the others.

Also... "Wicked annoying"? Are you from New England too? :D

I'm like this too; I feel vulnerable and unsafe if my torso isn't covered by something. Even if I'm wearing a t-shirt or something, it doesn't matter; I must have a blanket-type thing covering my torso, or I get all weirded out.

I do something like that when I'm in a mall or store with music on in the background, especially if it's something I know. I'll act like it's the movie's ambient music. Sometimes I'll walk/move in "slow motion" if I don't think people are watching.

You burn more calories with an elevated heart rate. Walking a mile and running a mile will not burn the same number of calories, for instance. It takes more energy to make your body work harder, thus more calories burned.

I do this too, every time. Even if ending the call is done by closing the phone too. I don't want the risk of having my phone left on and some sound or something I say going to the person on the other end of the line. Which is silly, because they've hung up too, and it's not like they're sitting there with the phone still to their ear, listening intently for me to say something incriminating.

Yup. I do that too on occasion. I mean, I could just as easily wash my hands instead of letting the water run... But I do it anyway.
