I appreciate the idea of lean business planning without frills and lengthy documentation. It’s quite similar to what we do in agile development. We don’t insist upon unnecessary documentation, instead focus on clearly and succulently defined objects and goals. We work towards them iteratively, improving and revising them as we proceed further which allows us to functionally address issues in real time rather than simply placing reliance on foresight.
Similarly, I believe business plans should be agile and not stringent. It’s also true that simply business plans don’t win you investments. I believe your approach is a very practical idea when prospecting for
investments for a start-up/venture.

Re: Keep these 5 Important tips in mind when building a Responsive web site

Good post
Luke! Would like to add that keeping the layout simple by avoiding pointlessly intricate Divs, Inline styles, Critical JavaScript and float positioning is also a good idea. By defining the break points, keeping it simple and avoiding modern tricks we can create a successful responsive website.

Re: Marketing Your First Product

Very well said Spencer! The thing is people tend to confuse
marketing with sale, whereas the former is very much about smartly presenting
your product to make sure people do notice and buy. Marketing is one of the
vital steps post production that should never be ignored. Thanks for sharing the
knowledge!

Re: How the touch screen revolution is impacting UX

Fabulous piece of writing Dan! Your views on the technology for
sure are an eye opener for many and yes, I do agree on the fact that ‘touch
screen’ has turned out to be a revolution. I don’t have any interest in the
windows v/s android v/s iOS wars. However, I am not a keen follower of User
Interface. I believe touch technology is just a beginning of what we call a
smart world and we have many more to follow. Moreover, successful technology
will be the one offering a better UX!

Re: Website Personalization: Tailoring Website For Magnetism

That is great!
Will invest some more time on your offering and share my feedback with you!

Re: 6 Tips to Help Improve Your eCommerce Product Pages

Great info Michael! Ecommerce product pages need elements that can
improve conversion and avoid last minute mood swings. These include special
badges that mention discounts and client reviews that appear to be realistic.
When it comes to online purchase, being a conscious consumer I would prefer
going through the reviews first. Moreover, if it’s an audio or a video review,
better will be the conversion.

Re: Advertisers continuing to embrace m-commerce through the performance channel

Good info here Matt! Advertisers are embracing
M-commerce not only as a modern tool but also as a necessity to survive in the
technology driven market that we have at present. The resent rise of mobile
activity has opened a new niche for advertisers and marketers to target a new
breed of clients. With time and technology, we have a new sales circuit wherein
each party has a vital role to fulfill.

Re: The Art of Designing User Driven Websites

A good one John! You article covers some essential points on
effective navigation. I believe website interface should be highly natural in
terms of navigation. In other words, a visitor should be able to glide from one
part to other with ease. Thinking from the perspective of a user is a very
bright idea to begin with!

Re: How NOT to use social media for Ecommerce

Great Jocelyn! However, the both
differ when it comes to delivery of responsive/adaptive structures. Adaptive web
design depends on predefined screen sizes, whereas responsive website design
depends on flexible & fluid grids. A major difference between the two is
that Adaptive web design has a much streamlined approach compared to responsive
web design, which takes more codes with fluid grids and flexible foundations.

Re: How web posture affects user experience

Well said Irwin! A smooth user experience means flawless user interface. If you want your users to be satisfied with your website then, you should minimize the distractions that hinder the true message the website wishes to convey. Creating a strong hold over online business
requires a strong business presence too. Business in commercial context is
regarded as a separate entity apart from the personnel managing it, which is why
we should focus on creating a strong hold. Contextual focus will offer the much
deserved exposure to the brand, which again offers a strong market presence.

Re: Infographic: Environmentally Friendly Computing Isn't So Hard

Good one Stephanie. Green is really the new word and the future of technology too. Big industry names in the tech segment will also have to make sure they are working in accordance to the societal values that includes preserving the natural resources we have at present as well. Apart from that, we will have to start considering the deteriorating numbers when it comes to natural resources we have at present.

Re: Battle Between Custom Web Design and Website Templates

@ambreen11 Absolutely right! thanks a lot for stopping by :D

Re: ReCAPTCHAing the importance of UX

You are right, Captcha are generally non-user friendly but they do ensure forms not being submitted by robot or crawler scripts, which does add to security as well as fillter on Spam.

The alternative Captcha methods are cool, from the usability perspective I found VisualCaptcha the best.

Re: Battle Between Custom Web Design and Website Templates

Thanks a ton Eliza…Words like these always motivate me to work harder towards perfection!

Re: Battle Between Custom Web Design and Website Templates

Hi Stephan Hovnanian,

Having a custom theme as good as a custom design, its converted to theme as its to be implemented on open source CMS like WordPress being used for deploying a website. Magento is really
one of the most powerful Ecommerce development platforms that I have ever come
across, with ofcourse some amazing features. The Magento team can easily
integrate the platform with any given third-party application, thereby improving
the storeowners capability to manage things. Another important benefit that I
found in the platform is its transparency of working that allows a developer to
watch the operations very closely and make changes as per their requirements. In
addition, a very important feature not to miss is the tool that allows you to
import user and product information, in case you are changing from any other
platforms to Magento. I hope you agree with me on this!

Re: Google Now Shows You Your Most Recent Links

I download these for my site and i was able to download more than 10 thousand links.
