I learned the very basics of crocheting from watching my mom when I was a kid, but was hopeless when I tried to do it myself- my guage was all over the place! I taught myself to knit from a book years ago, and have been hearing from tons of people during that time how knitting is so much more difficult than crocheting is, so I decided last Fall to make myself learn to crochet. I hit the books again, and am loving it (not as much as I love knitting, but still...)
