I loved smelling the bread. It was a block south of Taylor. There was a distillery closer to Taylor Street. I used to love sitting on the stairs in the back of her apartment watching the trains go by over the big concrete wall.

Re: ON THIS SPOT: How the Monroe Street Bridge Changed the Face of Brookland

Thanks for info. The candy store was probably a small market that sold snacks and other items.

Re: ON THIS SPOT: How the Monroe Street Bridge Changed the Face of Brookland

I remember in the 60s a pickle factory and a candy store adjacent to the bridge. They were lower in grade than the bridge so they seemed cut off. None of my siblings remember this. Is there any info on the businesses on Monroe.

Re: Flashback: Pre-teen David Ushery Interviews Walter Cronkite on WFSB

Do you know how one would get access to a different episode of Kidsworld? We are looking for one that aired October 27 1979 that featured and interview with Judith St Aubin director of The National Children's Choir of Washington DC?

Re: Organizing Passwords, Credit Cards, Web Sites and other Secure Data with LastPass

Sounds interesting.

Do you have to have internet access to access it?

I use the portable app version of keepass within dropbox and really like that it is disconnected from the browser. Yes, it is less convenient because I have to remember to use it - but I like that I always have to enter my strong password before I access any of it and I keep it closed. I would be nervous having it enabled in a browser that someone else may have occasion to use.

How does LastPass know you are the one using the browser? Is it always enabled?

I can see where I may like it for web sites that don't have access to sensitive data and use keepass for the secure stuff. What are your thought?

Re: Using svn:externals to Manage Project References : Dave Donaldson

Thanks for the great description. This is just what I was trying to explain we needed to a co-worker but did not know of any tool support for it.

Re: Papercut – Easy Email Testing : Simpable

I love the simplicity of this tool - looks very useful for tracking down bugs.
