P.S. Au fait, frou-frou existe en anglais comme mot d'emprunt de français, mais ce n'est pas très connu par les Américains. Lorsque j'étais au collège, je faisais partie de l'équipe du journal de l'école. Je me souviens bien de ma première tâche: demander aux collègues à deviner la définition de «frou-frou». Leurs réponses, imprimées dans mon tout prémier article, étaient trop marrantes. 😜🤣

Sorry, I did not make a screen print when it came up on your app, and my phone is set to FRENCH, so here it is on another app.

Basically, it says, "This App may slow down your phone. The developer needs to upgrade it". I have no doubt the problem has to do with the fact that your app still has iOS 6 UI elements. Plus, no sound.

I'd have to delete stuff on iPhone 5 just see if the sound problem exists on my older device. I'm not getting any error messages with other old apps on my iPhone 5 running 10.1.1 the way I'm getting with my iPhone 7 running the same version of iOS.

Apple is in the midst of an App Store purge. Your app is not the only one this is happening with.

I have an iPhone 7, just bought new yesterday, so device issue is possible but unlikely under the circumstances.

When are you going to update this app to be compatible with iOS 10? I finally got a new iPhone Jet Black, with lots of space to re-download apps I had to delete in the past, but I got a warning when I redownloaded this app. Plus, it has no sound, no matter what the volume setting.

Eureka! La solution vient de YouTube lui-même, pas de Facebook. Les pouces y était autrefois bleus (bon) et rouge (mauvais) selon un autre utilisateur YT qui a enfin répondu à ma question. Actuellement, ils sont bleus tous les deux.

J'aurais affiché une image, mais je ne suis pas arrivée à trouver une. Ben, ça ne fait rien enfin. Vous ne permettez pas en effet l'affichage des images aux commentaires ici chez French Your Way. 😜

Après avoir écouté votre super podcast, j'ai fait quelques observations et je vous offre quelques traductions utiles. J'ai aussi une question.

Observations:

avoir deux mains gauches = clumsiness = to be all thumbs

Cette expression me rappelle l'expression anglaise "to have two left feet". Ça peut bien signifie d'être maladroit en toutes choses, mais on se dit plus fréquemment par rapport à la danse.

L'expression française «d'avoir le bras long» me rappelle l'expression anglaise "the long arm of the law". Now that's influence. 😜

se tourner les pouces = to twiddle one's thumbs (à cause de l'ennui autant que de l'inactivité délibérée)

Question:

J'entends dire toujours les YouTubeurs français des pouces bleus et des pouces rouges comme thumbs up 👍🏼et thumbs down 👎🏼. Quel est l'origine de cet expression ? Est-ce une expression qu'on utilise largement en général ou seulement sur les réseaux sociaux ?
