The last of his points was the only one that scares me but it can easily be rectified through increased federal funding for NSF and NIH research, to be paid for through licensing of discovered technologies to private companies.

Watched it online earlier this year and f---ing loved it. I think the filmmakers should be credited because in lesser hands this film could have been a disaster. It is so easy to turn Tyson in to a characature of himself, from his high pitched voice and lisp, to the rambling, the ear-biting, the rape charges, the pigeon obsession, etc. It would also have been easy to paint him as simply "misunderstood". The truth about Tyson, as the truth in most things, lies somewhere in the middle. Tyson is thoughtful. He is misunderstood. But as much as he is a victim of his upbringing and of his fame, he is also the architecht of much his own destruction. Overall I thought it was fascinating and extraordinarily well done.

Facts you will soon learn:

(1) There's not one decent song on YACHT's "See Mystery Lights", because every song is brilliant. (See what I did there?)

(2) I was actually fairly disappointed with Discovery's "LP". There are about four songs that I feel like I will keep on my iPod for longer than a month. Not bad, just kind of disposable.

(3) The Tampa Bay Rays have a player named Carlos Pena. He can't run, he can't field his position, he doesn't hit for average, and he strikes out a lot, and he's basically good at one thing - hitting home runs. Fortunately for Carlos Pena, power hitters of his caliber are extremely rare, so not only has he found a place in the league, he's a very valuable player that almost every team would want. To me The Deadweather, like say The Black Keys are in the Carlos Pena category. They do basically one thing and do it supremely well. If you like that thing, or you are in the mood for it, there's nobody better. If you're not, well, they don't bring a whole lot else to the table.

Agreed. His accent was ATROCIOUS, though, which made it even better. I can't wait to talk about season 2 with you when you finish with it. Does Michelle like it? She has to be into it right? Tony got Tina into it. Nicole loves it.

I'm thoroughly convinced that if you can get anybody to sit through two episodes they'll start to warm to it, and if they get through four it's over. By the end of the fourth episode Nicole was like, "let's watch one more" then 40 minutes later, "I'm not that tired...let's just put on one more".
