For me really I just want my phone to be repaired which just died a of a sudden. Never been dropped, rooted ect. It just died and I have nowhere to have it repaired????

Telkom says that LIST does not offer and DSTV (BoxOffice/ Now). Any idea where the writer got this, link please cause even Telkom's LIT article makes no mention of this?

Jeez Coenraad, you really are spitting fire man, like most people have said earlier, just set your limit to zero and purchase prepaid data afterwards. It's that easy, in fact when I signed up (Black Friday) the Consultant took me through that limit stuff and I was happy to set it to zero.

While I understand that for some high users, 50Gig might not be a lot, tell me which other network when you can get such "value for money" for 50Gig per month plus e.g. an iPhone 7 for just R700 (or less on other low end phones)?

Yes, the 10k minutes are kinda crappy since it's only MTN, but heck, I've got lots of friends and family on MTN. You can also buy 20 AllNet Minutes for R10 (*120*2*220#) valid for the duration of your monthly billing cycle (and can buy more than one at a time) - easy peazy.

I'm no MTN fan, I was on Prepaid all along until I came across the Black Friday deal and it was just a no brainer. Yes, MTN (just like any other networks) tends to have crappy connection, sevice etc etc, but it is what it is.

Can we just give credit where it's due? For me, this deal is the best ever available to date across all networks.

Has the option to "add custom words and phrases to the dictionary so they don’t get changed" been removed? Cause double-tapping on the new word/phrase no longer brings the option to add to dictionary?

A lil too late to jump on this thread 8 months later, however here we go:
I most often accidentally press the volume buttons resulting into the ringer volume being increased or reduced. This can be very annoying as it would lead to missed calls when ringer volume is reduced, consequently phone ringing while supposed to be on silent/vibrate e.g. in a meeting. Sometimes I also accidentally press the power button resulting into phone restarting. Any tips and tricks to prevent this? Thanks.

Nah, it's not a car. Remember I said all along I thought it was an Android (Nexus) issue cause this thing just worked on my iPhone and even interrupts the radio / music / etc to give you voice directions on Maps navigation.

I have never been able to have media play via my car on this N5 on any car (mine or rentals). My car is a 2014 model whilst I have used rental cars as new as 2016 but still no voice directions via Bluetooth with the N5!!

I have purchased an Audi AMI cable last year hoping to stream my music in the car , unfortunately 1) you can't control music via the car controls but have to do it via the phone (I am told thou that this is definitely a Nexus thing, as apparently Samsungs works - haven't tried a Sammy yet), and 2) the AMI cable doesn't charge the phone (I was sceptical of this feature cause the cable connects via the audio port so naturally this shouldn't be charging ?).

I have tested the iPhone equivalent cable on the same car and all the feature works (controlling all your music via the car controls, charging the phone etc) just that the Nexus us my primary phone (I'm not really a fan of the iPhone ).

The settings on Maps are all toggled on.

I think the culprit might be the device itself causing can't play any music via Bluetooth and I think the issue might be the lack of "media" settings under Bluetooth (see the Bluetooth settings).

Correct. It doesn't work on my Nexus 5. But works with my iPhone 6 (same car). I actually thought that perhaps it's an Android thing that this feature doesn't work as yet.

So there's still no way of the voice (directions) coming through via the car when connected via Bluetooth.on Android (Nexus 5)? This feature works well when using an iPhone.

First off, it's a step in the right direction. But ALAS, why such "baby-steps"! CellC is ages away! These so call free data is just ridiculous compared to CellC for example.

Moreover, why not make this available to AnyTime TopUp packages also? And those ridiculous In- and Out-of Bundle Call Rates (see attached)!!

Such a pity that CellC's coverage is still nowhere near that of the BIG 2, otherwise I would happily port to them. E.g. my Wi-Fi does not even work while I'm at my place. Imagine having a CellC handset as well.

I'm with FNB with a Platinum Account, and whenever I make online payments to foreign vendors or POS transactions while abroad, FNB (Premier Banker) would contact me immediately to confirm that it's indeed ne who made those transactions.
