I also put in my request for an invite right away. I love the approach and if the service is stable out here in the midwest where I live, it could be terrific. Just concerned that it is a Google experiment and may not be a long term option for those of us not in a Google fiber area.

Sound like fun experiment. Looking forward to reading your conclusions. As a long-time Android user, I feel that after a few years of obvious inferiority, there are now fewer reasons to pick iPhone over Android.

Great point, Kirk. I see this with my 2 teenage boys. They care not one bit about what's big online, just about what their friends are doing, and none of those kids are reading Techcrunch.

Dave, I forgot to mention they played England with Owen Pallett on violin.
The strings and the building tension in the song, which you mentioned last
week, were chilling. Such a great performance.

My boys are the same way. They like some of what I like, but have their own
tastes. I just bought the tickets and told them they were going, because I
knew the venue would be great for them (concert hall instead of a club.) I
think they are now ready for another concert. The Decemberists are coming
thru town in August, and I may be able to talk them into that one.
