I'm afraid I don't know better. What I do know is that LGBTQ kids do not feel authentic until they know that they can express their feelings like any other kid. They don't get to talk about crushes or really even fully picture their futures until they know they are going to be OK and accepted. Sexual attraction does not define you when you conform to societal norms. When you fear that who you love may cause you to be ostracized, it can distract you a great deal. This girl is simply longing for that period of doubt to be over.

Agreed. Since the child had been coerced into posting photos I wanted to stop short of using the word "pornography." My sense is that although she claims to have called the police, she probably has not yet done that and I did not want to scare her by calling her a pornographer. She is also a victim and she does need to work with law enforcement.

Exactly, Diane. This is why even members of The Republican Party were so outraged when Donald Trump said, after being challenged by debate moderator, Megyn Kelly that she had "blood coming out of her whatever." It's not the worst thing that Megyn or Diane or I have heard from a man as females on planet earth but it is boorish and unbefitting a gentleman. We can all do better.

I don't believe that "blacks are different than whites." I do believe that men are different from women. Feminism is a very deep and complicated subject. It can and should be discussed at length by all humans. I was answering this girl's question about why boys had not "liked" a feminist post on Instagram. My view is that boys are not yet ready to take a public stance on it. I agree with every point you made in your response to my response. This is a very important conversation.
