Case in point of my life. "A Tale Of Two Mice" the second Abbott and Costello parody. During a tense scene, the music was awesome (I'm 10 here, new to the game). I HAD to know what that was. And it turned out to be my favorite overture of my favorite composer. People think I'm kidding, but no, this is the stuff, it's everything else that is trivial. And I still have unanswered Eternal Questions, which I whittle away at to this day, Is me boyo part of the deal? Hell yes - I raised that child to be cultured, as I define the term. He's thanked me, and solved a few of them on his own. But see the cartoon, it fits perfectly.

Everytime I hear the Bouree I think "The Frugal Gourmet" PBS, 10 am Saturday. . Lots of good recipes I use to this day. But alas, he was...naughty (Courage The Cowardly Dog fans will have it play in their heads) Geez Louise, the Galloping Gourmet (yes, Grahm Kerr to we old vintage folks) . was just sauced all the time (Julia. Child.).

I haven't checked, but I expect PBS is not running "The Frugal Gourmet" anymore. (Got all the cookbooks already, His first book of recipes is really getting stained , flour covered, and dog-eared) But that show introduced me to "wait, Handel wrote this?!' You mean, I like....Ha..

I've never seen the Nutcracker all the way though. What I know from that I know from Fantasia (in this singular case, bless Walt. After oh, 18 or so years, I finally heard it from the beginning. Which is every musical theme of the suite you need to know. Ahhhhh, such joy.

Hey man, just for you. I was thinking today of when I went up the John Hancock building. Drunker than Cooter Brown, coming from a Sox-Cubs game (this is when I made the Hajj to Wringley in '86) where I met an equally loaded Harry Carey, we passed Bud pleasantries) there I am up on the whatever the hell floor it was.
