I used to walk to the library as a kid all of the time alone to use the computer and do research. I wouldn't let my 13 year old step son do the same now. It's sad how times have changed.

Nobody needs to worry about me..... I NEVER go out to the bars anymore so I never run into this situation. I didn't even know what time it was when the lights went on. I'm not one of those people that hangs around outside after, I took the shortest route home that I could on foot. My mom called me three times to make sure I left and got home alright as well as my significant other who unfortunately had to take off 10 minutes before closing time. I'm always careful no matter what I do and where I am. I drove a cab at night for awhile, being in a bar at closing is nothing compared to that job!

I'm a smart woman :)

I wonder how many disorderly conducts were instigated by the cops themselves this year. Fiesta is always a fiasco but the one night I went out I saw a lot of unnecessary pushing and yelling and harassment by some officers. I was 5ft from the bar door heading out when the lights turned on and the cop still shoved me toward the exit and yelled to get out. Where did he think I was going? If you start pushing and yelling and harassing drunk people they get disorderly. I know it's not easy being a cop during Fiesta but there is still no need to be a jerk to people that are listening to you.

Thanks, she had so many friends that loved her. We always had fun working at Friendly's and share a lot of mutual friends. It's been hard for all of us to get out of shock, she was such a good person.

Mouth wash has alcohol in it, enough to set off the machine and deactivate your car which it keeps track of. I know this because i've worked with people who have had to call in that they will be late to work because Scope set off the device and they were waiting for a ride. You also go through a hassle getting the device deactivated anytime someone is working on your car.

He will have to put a breathing machine in his next vehicle, when he gets his license back. Those things are a PAIN to deal with between not being able to clean your teeth and getting the car maintained.

The only nice thing about my neighborhood is the fact that everything is within walking distance, including my job.

The people upstairs didn't last long before they moved out. I made sure they didn't get comfortable living there, i'm alllll set with dealing with inconsiderate neighbors like them. After their drugged up friend knocked on my door at 2am I had had enough of their crap.

It's not lack of jail time, it's lack of punishment in general. Most drunk drivers and drug DEALERS get NO probation NO fines NO NOTHING. At least take a 1st offenders license away for 30 days, fine them, and give them probation like the law says. And it's not the possesions that people get pissed about, it's the people SELLING drugs and then get nothing for punishment when they sell to an undercover.

All we ask is that the judge acutally enforce the laws he's supposed to with the appropriate punishments, not just dismiss it all.

But us concerned citizens that just want the judge to do his job are all just a bunch of wack jobs right?!?!

Ok so they are frustrated with all the criticizm, understandable. BUT they are spending PUBLIC funds on this school, we have the right to know what is going on. Just because they were met with hostility doesn't exempt them from having to be open with the community.

It would be in their best interest to STOP with the secrecy if they ever want any support from more than a select few in the community. People would be more open to be accepting of this school if they were more open. Secrets don't make friends.....

I don't know how they do it either but it has to be frustrating, especially when people who are aggressive and threaten the officers safety get no punishment.

So attempting to grab a police officers GUN from him to most likely use against him isn't as serious??? Either way, BOTH times this individual has been in trouble he has assaulted a police officer, and with the comment that his wife made it's clear this past incident won't be the last.

And regardless of how busy people's lives are, when a judge threatens the safety of an entire community by continuously letting dangerous people loose. People are going to be mad and complain about it. I for one don't feel safe with all these drunk driving and assault charges being dismissed.

It's nice to see an 8 year old thinking up ways to help with our litter problem.... and you know it's a problem when an 8 year old notices!

People need to just stop being so selfish and throw litter in the trash. It is NOT a hard concept to grasp or a hard task to handle. I see the owner every morning picking up empty cups out of the landscaping of his store's property, the beautiful plants he spends time on. Some people are just disrespectful.

I recycle my iced coffee plastic cups, less trash when you only have a straw to throw away. Styrofoam on the other hand... I never get a drink that big and I have an iced coffee coozie to keep my drink cold and my hands not so much. :)

I don't know if they still do it, I think they do. Dunkin donuts used to have a discounted price on coffee if you had one of their mugs for them to fill. If they don't have this program anymore, they should reinstate it. I know i'd pay $5-$6 for a mug if it was going to give me a discount on my daily coffee! I don't know how it would work going through the drive thru though.
